Nice win for St. Olaf over rival Luther, 24-22.

Any word on Cobbers?

Augsburg trails 10-6 to Concordia (Wisc.) early after a rain delay.

Helllooooo-oooo ... anyone here yet?

Big day - payback for the J's.  Last year's game was soooo damn depressing.

I remember having a bad feeling about last year's game when they introduced all the referees over the PA system, and with each name they announced the town in Wisconsin in which he lived.  Home cookin' at its best.

I see Oshkosh is playing Mount Union today, I wonder how close of a game it will be.  Oshkosh beat Central last week, talk about a tough non-conference schedule!

Since the folks from Chippewa don't much like Eau Claire I think Leinies Octoberfest or 'Red' Lager would be a good beverage today  ;)

I'm here after watching my son play-Go Johnnies.
Why is it that SJU is always picked to be upset by the D3football guys??

How'd your son's team do?

I'd give you +k, but you're at 666 and I kinda like it!  (My first ship in the Navy was the USS Black, DD-666!  I'm surprised they used that number.)

Lost 6-0 on trick play with 25 seconds left, reverse run, then RB pass to wide open receiver.

And how about this, as I sat for the bar exam back years ago, I picked up my card to read my number-number was on test and corresponded to test taker-my number was 666-I was not sure what kind of omen that was-but I passed the exam.

Kind of dates you since she went out of service 40 some years ago.
Are you a 'Tin Can Sailor'?

Only half-a-can.  We were the last crew on the Black before she was decommissioned.  From there I went to the USS Midway, which was at Hunter's Point Naval Shipyard here in San Francisco.  It also had been decommissioned while it was in the shipyard to have its flight deck widened - by a lot (at one time it was the widest flight deck in the USN, including newer carriers like the Enterprise).  It was then re-commissioned when it came out of the shipyard - and is now a floating museum in San Diego (and worth seeing - they're doing a great job cleaning it up).

Mount down 7-3 in 1st quarter-interesting?

Where's our member from the southern hemisphere?  Did he have another school party last night? 8-)

Probably forgot to set the alarm again!

72 and sunny in Oregon. Glad to be missing the game here because they are predicting mid 90s. That is just too hot for that kind of togetherness!
