Phenow, Aakre and Hilbrands played very well today. Kirchoff called a really nice game. We're getting better at mixing in some passes to keep teams honest against the run.

Stop this SJU-you are going to ruin my pick'em-what else can happen?

At least I have next weekend to recover! I will count the bye as a win! 8-)

You are spot on VOJ in analyzing Krebsbach!

Looks like SJU will lose 3 in a row and 4 in last 5-Wow.
Gusties game will be interesting, then STO. Keep making progress. I don't know if the D is playing the young guys, but from here on out they had better.

I would think you'll beat GAC.

St. Olaf will come down to your secondary. They've got a good QB and two very good, tall and fast WR's. As Bethel can attest, if you let them find a rhythm they can burn you really quickly. Personally, I feel like Leon Clark has regressed the last couple of years.

Oof. You know it's a big hit when you can hear the crowd groaning on the radio

He said Krebsbach ran the option well, but passing was an issue when we needed it-kinda questioning his passing ability-I took it to mean he didn't see the field well.

Pipers haven't scored in three weeks!  Ouch!

Go Scots!

I see some cause for optimism out of this. At least the defense made the Bethel Offense work a bit more than has been the case in prior games, and the offense put some points, and yardage up.  It was close until the last couple minutes. I guess that's all we can hope for this year.

All right, folks, I'm out to do a little panning for gold with the girls.  Thanks for the coverage.

Isn't that sad, though, for SJU, "We kept the game close until near the end."
Never thought I would hear that, except when playing Mount or UWW.

I am off to see if some retail therapy will help. If not, I will have to resort to scotch!

Nice confidence booster for Bethel after the 4th quarter collapse last week. Good to see them respond in the 4th quarter and put the game away. We needed to see a little killer instinct and they showed that today.

The D's got room to grow, but it's always a wildcard when you face a new QB that you haven't had a chance to see much film on or game plan for. When a guy like Krebsbach comes out and wants to run as much as he did that's a pretty significant game time adjustment. Hats off to Jimmy, Freag and Meyer for figuring it out.

And at least Augsburg made UST look mortal today...
