I think they're just getting flat out beat by UWO.

First drive was 13 plays and lots of runs right down UWW throat.

Lots of game left to play though. You know UWW isn't going to quit

SUMMIT!!!!!

but assuming UWO holds on for the win.....does a 2-loss UWW get a Pool C?
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

STU is up by 11 at HU close to the end of the first half.

I've been watching UWW/UWO on streaming video. Osh looks VERY good. UWW not so much. They've changed QB's to a Soph. Brekke has thrown 2 INT's.

It would be pretty tough for the Warhawks to get a Pool C, especially with the one loss being to Buffalo State. Are they better than all but about 5 or 6 other teams? Probably, but we know how much that's worth.

There's a lot of football left to play, so it's speculation at this point (obviously!)

But with a loss at home to Buff State, who already has 4 losses, they need some help.

And the West region doesn't help them. UST, Linfield, Willamette, Coe, Bethel, NWC, Lake Forest, Cal Lutheran and UWO is already pretty full plate.

The way the Pool C selection works is that it all depends on how you're ranked regionally (I realize you're probably aware maniac). So each team only has 1 Pool C candidate on the board at a time.

Potential 1 loss teams Linfield/Willamette (loser) and Bethel will both likely be ranked ahead of UWW regionally. So at best I'd guess they'd be the 3rd West Region team on the board. It will help them if UWP ends up ranked regionally, simply for in-region results. But even if they get to the board 3rd in the West, they'll be going up against the other 3 regions. It would help them immensely if there aren't enough quality 1 loss teams.

they should , they still look better than most of the one loss teams.   :-* tough to keep the defending champ out of the dance.  :'(

Osh scored on one long pass on third down, another 25 or so yarder, also on 3rd, I believe. I missed the first TD by Osh, but it was on initial drive. 66 yards I heard. They are running well, and Wara has been very accurate in his passing.

Do they look better? I'm not sure this years team does. Don't get me wrong, they're a very good team. But clearly not at the level they've been at in previous years.

hey you could add PLU if they beat Willamette today too?   their only losses is to two high ranked west teams too? another thought that's all

I know that Pat and Keith have talked about Brekke at other times during the season; this is my forst time watching UWW video. A point that also is so hard for me is evaluating if the problem is UWW - their offense, and Brekke's performance. Or is it that UWO is doing so good on defense. UWO really does look to be controlling the game on D.

I saw UWW against River Falls (or was it Stout?) and their offense didn't impress me. The defense looked good, but Stout was pathetic on offense, so it was hard to tell. Brekke has not looked as good as he did in his Championship year. That may have something to do with the supporting cast. They just don't seem to have the studs in the skill positions - WR and RB that they had in the last few years. Their O line may not be as dominant either. IMHO

Bethel gets a pick on the first GAC drive to start the half. Nice pick.

Hallstrom's having a nice game. 8 catches so far.

hazzben

WOW, awesome 1 handed grab by Hallstrom, got two feet down before going out of bounds. Great throw as well.

So what's the over-under on this game? BU seems like they pretty well can do as they please.
