High sticking, tripping, slashing, spearing, charging, hooking, fighting, unsportsmanlike conduct, interference, roughing... everything else is just figure skating.  ~Author Unknown

Good game johnnies.  Great start to the season.  45-9.

South Dakota State just left Lawrence, Kansas with a few hundred thousand dollars and a victory over the Jayhawks.

In other news, the South Dakota State bookstore is experiencing a massive influx of sales of Jackrabbits gear to people with shipping addresses in Manhattan, Kansas.

Well it was hardly unexpected, because the Jacks were favored by the oddsmakers, although they did cover the spread.  I remember (barely) when the Johnnies beat the Jacks and I think it was more than once.

The trip from Mitchell to SJU was always more enjoyable with a stop in Brookings for Hobo days.  Always hated to leave those farm-raised coeds and head to Collegeville.

Auggies look good. Wartburg can't really handle the Auggie offense. 14 -14 just before half time.

Auggie defense is new and improved.  Making big stops when needed.

It's gameday baby!
I'll be following the Johnnies from French Lick/Paoli, Indiana.

Go Johnnies!
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.
