That was the worst non pass interference call ever!

Refs were brutal today
F-ing brutal...we played ****ty but also didnt get any calls...the running into kicker should have been roughing.

Well win or go home from here on out. Every position in the secondary should be open for competition

They pretty much go by whether they hit the kicking leg or the plant leg. If the kicking leg, they normally call it running into the kicker, which is what happened here. If the plant leg, then roughing the kicker.

Stay classy dude. Keep blaming those refs, hope it makes the loss sting less.

I sure didn't have that perspective from in the stadium. In my estimation, the SJU punter was tapped. Calling roughing would have been a gift.

Were you at the game and saw it live? From the video feed you couldn't really tell if there was any contact or not. Didn't see too much complaint from the receiver. So explain away the couple of the non holding calls on some early end sweeps by SJU - looked pretty blatant to me and also the BU bench. It happens calls are missed.

I didn't think it was even close on the PI. He slowed, was run into, the ball was not there. As far as holding, the Johnnies were called a number of times, where I saw nothing. Not saying it didn't happen, but I didn't see it. On the other hand, I saw D linemen get tackled by Bethel O linemen with no call. There is probably some holding on just about every play. Unless it obviously affects the play, I just don't worry about it.

That was a great game Saturday. The studs on both teams made big plays throughout. I was glad Trost was able to play and hopefully Kunkle isn't out long. 97 for SJU was on crutches afterwards, here's to it not being serious either. Bethel has found something in Freshman RB David Geebli. He looked really good in the second half against PLU, which is why I was surprised they didn't use him at UWP. I thought maybe it was his pass blocking, but I saw him level Woz on a block so he didn't look skittish about mixing it up.

The strange this was that the game felt kinda anti-climactic. It didn't have quite the same playoff type feel in the crowd with the new division format. Not that you could tell on the field. Both teams were throwing haymakers all game long. Here's to both teams holding serve and meeting up again in collegeville to decide the title and Pool A bid. And hopefully both teams getting and staying healthy in the process.

58 and partly cloudy here in western Colorado at game time. Just right for football.

GO JOHNNIES!  :)

Now we expect showers. Not just right for football.
