Piss poor coverage by the return team sets up a very short field for the Gusties. Defense can't keep them out of the endzone. 14-7, Johnnies.

SagatagSam

That kickoff return really set up Gustavus nicely for the short TD drive.
14-7, Johnnies still lead.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Special teams breakdown leads to TD for GAC.  :-\

Cobbers, well, let's just say it has been easy so far against MAC. Up 14-0 very early.

Corn. How windy in Moorhead? Good for the Cobber running game I'm thinking.

Wind on Moorhead is NNW at 15-20mph. You know...normal. But I'm at home in the Cities this weekend. Now 21-0. Wind would seem to suggest run, but the Cobbs haven't been a good running team since going to the spread offense a few years back. Maybe today will be different, but so far it's been Air-CON but for some very successful QB scrambles.
If the human brain were so simple that we could fully understand it...we would be so simple that we couldn't.

INT off the tipped pass! Johnnies get it ing Gustie territory!

Going south I used to take a right at the Jake to go to my girlfriend's place. NNW at 15-20 is pretty normal, I have all of that here.

Gustie radio guys are classic. Like watching the game in a dive bar with some dudes.

If i were gustie i would just keep running the ball. We don't have anybody that can win at the line of scrimmage.

"That's actually a good play."

Almost like the Johnnie coaches know what they're doing.  ;D

I figured MAC's QB would connect deep sometime...just got a 35 yarder for a score. Cobbs up 21-6 with 4 minutes remaining in the 1st quarter. I think the 40.5 point spread was a bit generous considering how porous the Cobber pass defense has been all year.

And we commit another penalty.
And get blown off the line for a first down.
