HWS is a very, very solid team and currently ranked 2 in the Nation.  There D is amazing and have only been scored on once this year after 18 games.  If they have a rematch with Messiah, then look for HWS to come out the winner and unlike last year they have multiple players that can score.

Yes, W/S is a very good team, but don't start talking finals yet.  At this time of the year you have to focus on the next game.

The Hobart men were also a very good team and I believe their season just surprisingly ended today.  The point is, don't look ahead too far.

For what it's worth though, I too would love to see a Messiah - W/S matchup again.  The game they played earlier this year (0-0) was a classic.

Your right, 1 game at  time.  I'm really impressed with Trinity College so they may truly be the team to beat (they beat Hardin-Simmons today 3-1).  With Messiah and Trinity they wear you down with their bench and they all can play.  HWS, if there is a weakness, is the use of there bench.  That is what happened last year with Messiah; HWS played with them for a half but by the 2nd half HWS were exhausted and Messiah poored it on.

Please - Trinity University; Trinity College is back east, Trinity U is in Texas.  No worries, it's a common mistake.   ;)

I'll be very interested to see where the Trinity U regional is.  They *should* host given 22-0, etc., but since the NCAA would have to fly everyone there they'll probably have to hit the road next weekend.

+1 for someone besides me mentioning TU.

It will be at Ithaca. I am certain everyone would rather play in Texas weather than upstate NY weather, but this sectional is a travel nightmare for the committee.

Wheaton will host a sectional, as will Messiah and William Smith (I think). Three of the top four seeds, very much unlike the men's bracket.

and ya know, it would only be one more flight to have the team that deserves to host be given that honor, since Concordia-Moorhead's going to have to fly regardless.

winner of Trinity (22-0-0) @ Ithaca (12-4-3)

faces

winner of Cortland State (13-5-3) vs. Concordia-Moorhead (12-3-6)

Ithaca defeated Cortland earlier in the year, 4-1, in the only regular-season matchup among the four.

As the only ranked team remaining in this region, Trinity has no excuse if they don't win, but funny things happen when you're that far from home (and especially if the weather gets bad).

I think Coach Key will have his players ready. He played a few real tough post-season matches at Wheaton in the cold back when he played at Trinity. Yeah, he'll be ready.
