There is probably a joke there for you regarding the SUNY athletic training staff but I'm not going to make it.  I think they do a great job.  It's the nature of the game (another cliche' for you).  It really sucks though when it's your kid and both Dan and Matt had serious injury.  Hope all stay healthy Saturday.

Nah, I would never mock an athletic training staff. I write about them frequently for my job. They do an outstanding job all around. It's just astounding to see these really good Cortland guys down year after year. I have a buddy who has been closely following D-III for 10 years up here, and he swears that Babin is the best receiver he's ever seen in that time. I'm inclined to agree. Full-on beast

Agree all around.  Great kid too.  Truly a rare talent.  He has two years of eligibility remaining should he choose to use both.  I think he will.  It was a shock for all to see him hurt before the first game.  He is a man among boys. I hope we have someone who can get the ball to him.  In his absence we have had some kids really step up and have strong years.  Rose has 4 good receivers to throw to.  They could give IC fits on their own and then you throw Myles, Autera and Green in the mix...your defense will have all they can handle.  I think Rose's play will be key.  He can be very good if he doesn't turn it over.

Best to Coach Welch on his recuperation.

I love Cortaca.  It is always my annual reminder that if my kids try real hard, here is what they can learn at Cortland someday:

- Cortland A-Cappella
- Drawing
- Painting
- Skating
- Backpacking
- Adventure Activities
- Men and Masculinity (hey boys!!!!!!)

And my absolute favorite...

- Experimental Video

Who knew that you could get college credit with nothing more than a cell phone camera and some drunk chick from the Dark Horse....

Just to make sure there is no confusion...all of the "classes" listed above are actual classes that Cortland provides, according to their 2012-2013 syllabus.  For your Cortland guys...syllabus is a big word for course outline or program of study.

Drawing and painting are normal classes in an art program, I think. (No, It didn't blow past me that you are just having fun, but for some reason I wanted to point that out). I'd like to know what Adventure activities are though! I think mixing that with Experimental video and "Men and Masculinity" could get you arrested in some states.

I have to say that this Cortaca board is boring.  Where are the Men in Flamboyant Hats? Where are the ex-IC football players? This board was always hopping for a few years. I understand life goes on and as you get older Cortaca probably becomes a little less important. I have barely been able to follow the Dragons this year, and am checking this board once a day as opposed to the 10 times as a college student but I miss the tired, recycled jokes from the IC guys.

I would like to welcome who I assume is Dragon parent and from what I hear, the world's greatest Speech teacher, Mr. Pitcher.  Nice to have you on the board.

The lack of fundraising at the game was mentioned earlier.

It looks like the 50/50 will serve as a fundraiser with proceeds being donated.  Here is a link.

Thanks 19 but don't look for me to start any fires here.  I'm too old school.  Still not really my place to be participating but figured I didn't just have to be an observer any more.

Don't think we know each other but, given your email address, I'll go out on a limb here and say, say hello to your wife from me.

I know! Where are the semi-coherent responses written out by the (I assume) barely functionally literate guys like XRedDragon77? I know the gym class schedule can be a long one, but come on guys. Show some school pride

It's Friday, so what are the predictions. I am looking forward to a great matchup, this will be my first time watching this rivalry game, hope the game ends up being a great one...Love Rivalry games, never know what may happen. Now as far as the winner, I'm taking Ithaca (just because they beat my team). Nevertheless, good luck to both teams tomorrow.

Dlip is also rooting for the Bombers in a big way. He feels Cortland will win but with IC's W over the Gulls CState needs to keep their heads up. If Neumann doesn't play than forget it. That alone would nullify Ingrao for the most part and God knows the Bombers need him to get as many catches as possible. Any word on Neumann?

Are you attending this blessed event or watching it on TV? They are different experiences.  If you are watching on TV you will likely see a decent football game.  If attending you will see 2000 fans trying to watch a decent football game in the midst of 8000 drunk students yelling F Cortland, Cortland Sucks and F.U.I.C., IC sh*t., puking while standing in line to pass out in the bathroom.

After last year's rout, I would have predicted Cortland with an easy win.  I was still leaning that way until Ithaca beat Salisbury.  I'm still not sure how that happened.  I still think Cortland has too much fire power on offense and can beat you on the ground or in the air.  I don't think Cortland is going to have 8 sacks this year but I still don't see IC matching up well.  I like Cortland at home.

Oh no, I am watching via computer. My fiance' will not let me travel unless our Alma Mater was playing. I am lucky enough she has allowed me to travel to the semi-final game this year (if Salisbury gets that far) wherever that may be.
