It will come quite clear on who is better between UWP and UWO this weekend.

love that 20/20 hind sight.   ;D

OK , 02 did you get to see both games  with UWW? ???  If so who IYHO  is the better team ? ;)

I did.

UWP has more skill players, where as UWO is more physical. In fact UWO is probably the most physical team in the WIAC. They have some nasty to them.

However, I would think in the end skill wins out.

Here are my picks:

1.)  UW-Whitewater
2.)  Wartburg
3.)  UW-Platteville
4.)  Linfield
5.)  St. John's
6.)  Bethel
7.)  Chapman
8.)  St. Thomas
9.)  UW-Oshkosh
10.)  Pacific

P.S.  Good luck to the Macalester Scots as they travel to Jacksonville, IL to face IC for a chance to get the MWC AQ!  Based on where the program was 10+ years ago, under a president who was trying to run the program into the ground, I can't believe what the current administration, Coach Jennison, his staff, and his players have accomplished...Cudos!  It's been a long and winding road Scots, enjoy the ride and come back with a W!

You will always be OAS to me.  TAS doesn't have the same ring to it.

Couldn't build a case to rank SJU any lower?

They're two separate people.

Interesting.  Sure talks like the same guy.

I should have realized that OAS is smart enough not to wish for a game against SJU or Bethel.  The perspective from which the SJU talk was coming threw me off.

EDIT: I deleted a wisecrack that read poorly. If anyone read it and was put off, I apologise. It was harmless in intent.

Here was my contribution this week:

1. UWW
2. Wartburg
3. St. John's
4. Bethel
5. Linfield
6. UWP
7. Chapman
8. UWO
9. St. Thomas
10. CMH

I'm curious on why the UWP love over Bethel. Not saying one way is right or wrong....just curious on everyone's take. Looks like the D3 Regional poll did the same thing. I just don't get it.....and I'm a WIAC guy  ;D

I ranked them ahead of Bethel as I have watched several games this year of Bethel and saw Platteville live at North Central and watched Platteville/ Whitewater online...my feeling is Platteville is better...but as always that's why we play the game...

Keep in mind I even have bias toward Bethel as my son played there...I love Bethel

Interesting. I maybe have watched a couple of UWP games at the most, and zero Bethel games. I was just going off who've they lost too and beat. UWP has yet to beat a team that's currently ranked, while Bethel has two regional wins.

If D3's predictions are true about the tournament, we could possibly see UWP and Bethel meet in the second round. Then again, UWP has to get past a very tough Oshkosh team on Saturday first.

Here is my ballot for the week.  A little different and I think I look at SOS more than some might.  At least I wasn't the guy that put St. Scholastica on the ballot this week...again ::)

1   UWW
2   Wartburg
3   St. Johns
4   Linfield
5   Chapman
6   Bethel
7   UW Oshkosh
8   UW Platteville
9   Concordia-Moorhead
10   St. Thomas

Hey Jack,

Uwo over uwp  4 lose , 2 lose ?  was that all SOS?   ???

8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

02 Warhawk

Well boys, we have our work cut out for us this week. A bunch of teams should be on the move in our regional ranks.  ;D ;D

I fought off the homer temptation to put the Lutes at #10 (they're my #11).  I'm not sure how Redlands ended up in this site's mock West rankings on Saturday night.  Huge SOS, I guess?  I've got 3 from the WIAC and 3-4 from the MIAC ranked higher.

DT,

I took care of it for you  and am a cat man (know how tough they are for real without the turnovers  ) at #10 :-*  your welcome buddy. ;D

Thx, desertcat1.  It was close for me, but I figured that Bethel, OW-P, and Moorhead all had some better wins.  I'm sure that PLU would love to replay that Pacific game - even if they'd be far less excited about a resulting return trip to McMinnville as the 'reward'.
