Some interesting trends.

-Either someone thought that Wartburg lost too much, or forgot them all together  ;).
-Also it appears we mostly agree on the top 9 teams, given the big drop off in votes from 9 to 10.
-It seems like we all think Linfield is closer to UWW then the rest of the pack.

Son of a bitch! That will be changed in poll #2.  :-[

In other news I'm the other #1 Linfield vote. May change throughout the season before the playoffs based on how UWW plays.

Putting Linfield #1 is understandable. UWW lost their best player(s) on both sides of the ball, not to mention their head coach. However, knowing their depth, and the fact they're returning their front 7 on D as well as their entire offensive line (including a 2014 preseason All American that didn't play a snap last year) was enough for me to give them the #1 spot.

Time will tell as the season plays out.

If you still need poll participants I'd volunteer

^ Pacific didn't get any votes. They were somewhere around 12-13th on my consideration list.

I think that Pacific was a much better team than they showed during the 'Cats 59-0 drubbing to end the 2014 season.  It wouldn't surprise me if they go 8-1 and are in a position to get an at-large bid. Their non-conference schedule is weak so going 8-1 isn't going to make them a lock for a Pool C (unlike PLU in 2012 and 2013).  In a few years once the NWC is stronger from top to bottom I think we can expect that our 2nd place team gets a Pool C bid if they only lose a single game.  Sort of like the MIAC with St Johns, Bethel, and St. Thomas.  Although the way D3 football is handing out auto bids there might not exist any playoff spots other than AQ's... which would be a travesty... seriously... the UMAC gets an autobid?

You might be right about Pacific, we'll see pretty soon. They have a tough test tomorrow, and face PLU and Linfield in early Oct. For now (in my opinion) they are behind at least Bethel, UW-P, and Chapman and roughly on par with teams like Concordia-Moorhead, Central, and Redlands. Others had UW-SP and Monmouth around that range. My top 6 was the same as yours (with a little shuffling). Lots to be sorted out in the West (as always).

No UMAC team made my West Region top 10.  ;)

Alright WWW, if you want in the last spot is yours.

Just personal message me your rankings each monday

D O.C.

Looks like he won't use Pacific for one of the last two .

Still waiting on one more poll, I'm hoping to get the Week 1 poll out later today.

A couple of regional top 10 matchups this weekend in the West could shake things up a bit.
