Nothing in the top 6 changed for me. I would have liked to see a hotter start by UWW, but they definitely pounded the rock throughout.

Central jumped up for me, because I honestly thought Augustana was going to be a team on the rise this season. They returned 10 starters on an already good defense, and then Central put up 45 on them... Combined with the W @ Whitworth, I think they have the best resume in the IIAC so far this season.

UW-SP took care of business against one of the favorites in the MIAA and avenged their worst loss from last season.

Monmouth is ahead of DBQ for me because right now, I would give more credit to a W over Wartburg than a W over Bethel or Pacific. Bethel isn't playing particularly well, and the Pacific game was closer than it should have been.

Unless somebody in this group loses a game, it would take something remarkable (CMS by 21+ over W&L?) for me to put a SCIAC, UMAC or second NWC team (especially given their OOC performances thus far) in ahead of them.

I'm curious to see how good Wartburg actually is this season. It could be a very nice quality win for Monmouth, or just a win against a .500 team.

My guess somewhere in between. Wartburg might be in the same tier as Bethel this season.

I admit, I was the lone rep giving Linfield a first-place vote the first few weeks. I think I told myself that even if Linfield lost a close game to MHB, I would still consider them the top team in the West. Then 66-27 happened and I had to rethink that.

I understand what the score was, but I seriously doubt that MHB was that much better than what the score indicates. With that being said, I dropped them from 1 to 4...just ahead of St. John's. I think d3football's poll was a little excessive dropping them from 3rd to 9th.

If St. John's loses a close game next week to St. Thomas, I'll probably move them up in the rankings at least past Linfield. But if St. Thomas blows out St. John's (which I think is more likely to happen) I'll consider my rankings somewhat ahead of the curve then
