Seems like everyone has a different opinion on where UWP should be ranked. They were all over the board.

Before anyone says anything about being biased....the two WIAC pollsters didn't rank UWP 3rd or 4th.  ;D

I'll leave it up to the 10 voters if they want to post their results.

Good Job 02, good to see how fans in the West view their teams. Looking to read and partake in discussions that will help with my national vote.

Here's my poll:

1. UWW .513 8-0
2. Wartburg .585 8-0
3. Bethel .607 7-1
4. SJU .513 7-1
5. Linfield .560 6-1
6. Chapman .517 6-1
7. UWP .545 6-2
8. UST .524 6-2
9. UWO .533 4-1
10. UWSP .544 6-2

SJU over linfield on the strength of their loss and the fact it happened with their 3rd string qb starting. I went back and forth on UWSP and Concordia...

I think we'll find out a lot about Chapman this weekend.

I just couldn't pull the trigger on Willammette, given the nature of their two losses. Not when other teams have lost closer games to better competition.

On the flip side Willamette probably has the best win out of the group (with the exception of maybe wartburg)...and they did it in the catdome  :o. I put Willamette at 10 over UWSP because of this:

Winning at Linfield > Winning at home against NCC.

Plus UWSP hasn't looked that good since that NCC game.

Huh?? I slotted Chapman where I thought they should be given games played to date (not just last week, but YTD). My comment regarding Chapman was simply saying their upcoming game against Redlands will either further justify their current slotting (based on prior performance) or tell me to slide them back. Not sure at all what you mean about 20/20 hind sight  ???

I'm not sure about Linfield. Their PR department has been noticeably more quiet this year than last. When Linfield is really good, you hear all about it on these boards. That hasn't been nearly the case this year so far. Then they lost at home.

With Willamette, I just couldn't pull the trigger considering. 3 score loss @ 3 loss Whitworth. Blowout loss @ 2 loss PLU. That doesn't seem like a Top 10 West resume. Both the Cobblers and UWO seemed more deserving. If they beat Pacific on the road, I'll have to reassess some things. Until then...

It is fun having a fan poll to discuss though, isn't it!

I agree with you on Oshkosh. I'm glad many voters looked beyond their mundane record, and looked closely at who exactly they lost to.

TwoArmedScot

Here's my votes:
1.)  UW-Whitewater
2.)  Wartburg
3.)  Bethel
4.)  UW-Platteville
5.)  Linfield
6.)  UW-Oshkosk
7.)  St. Johns
8.)  St. Thomas
9.)  Concordia-Moorhead
10.)  Chapman

Just can't talk myself into anyone from the UMAC or MWC being able to hang with the WIAC or MIAC.

Don't know much about those western conferences, but I figure they too are probably better than UMAC or MWC.

I don't have a vote but I like your first five. I'd pull UWO out and put them at nine- moving the miacs up.

Looks like they treated UWO and Pacific as one-loss teams.  None of us had Pacific ranked.  They have two tough games as they finish out.
