I'll let whoever made those picks comment, if they wish.

Also found it interesting UWP didn't get a vote for the second straight week, considering the consistency the rest of the field picked them (either 5th or 6th).

I went with:

1. Linfield
2. St. Thomas
3. UWW
4. UWO
5. UWP
6. St. John's
7. Dubuque
8. Monmouth
9. Central
10. CMS

My vote:

Rank   Team
1.   St. Thomas
2.   UW-Whitewater
3.   Linfield
4.   UW-Oshkosh
5.   UW-Platteville
6.   St. John's
7.   Wartburg
8.   UW-Stevens Point
9.   Central
10.   Dubuque

St. Thomas gave me no reason to doubt their claim as the top program right now, while I feel like UWW played well enough with a QB2 to warrant a vote ahead of Linfield until I see a result.
UWO had the best win of the week, so they get to stay @ #4.
For UWP/SJU, my biggest question for each was Platteville's D and St. John's O. Both were impressive, but I'm more impressed by a shutout over George Fox than 500 yards vs. St. Scholastica. It's hard to shut out anybody.
My opinion of Wartburg is essentially unchanged.
UWSP, Central, UD, and Monmouth all fall into the same range for me. Dubuque probably played the toughest opponent, and Central the second toughest, but 53 and 49 points on D gives me pause. I kept Monmouth on the outside for now because I see them losing at home to Wartburg this week.

Yea, top 3 is a toss up. I put UWW 3 because I'm still not 100% convinced Nelson is the man for the job. Plus I think Linfield has the best QB (maybe player) in the country this year. While St. Thomas graduated a lot from last year...but still good.

I'm really splitting hairs here, as one can make a good argument on any of those three teams to be #1 in the West.

Considering UWO is the defending WIAC champ, it seems a bit weird to me that the consensus is so clearly for UWW ahead of them (from looking at their distribution of votes, it's only possible for one voter to place the Titans ahead of the Warhawks). I agree about the Top 3 though, total tossup right now. I'm trying to find reasons not to place each team at #1, and it's tough.

Maybe the uww/uwo playoff game is still fresh in people's minds.

I don't really care about the bee in the bonnet.
As an out of town fan I have no idea what my team is capable of yet.
The King Bee is the SOS again and I do not see the SCAIC or NWC lifting my spirits about that.

A win against UMHB should help quite a bit.

Not a bee in the bonnet, but I have LF @ 4, or 1c as I think the top 4 are that close.

1c  :)  That's a good one. It's true though.
