The 3rd spot is pretty wild, 6 of the 10 voters had a different school listed there.

UWL seems to be all over the board, along with Central to some degree. We'll probably get some clarity on those teams in the upcoming weeks.

Poll is in lockstep with the national poll through 7. 8-10 have the same teams, just different order.

Still waiting on 3 more entries. Hoping to post the results this afternoon.

Looks like the committee recognized the quality loss by Bethel. Despite of the loss, they remained steady in the 5th spot, but did drop in points (which was expected).

Bethel's got a big one Saturday when Gustavus Adolphus visits. Lots of ball to be played but it feels like an elimination game to remain Pool C relevant. Also got an eye on the Johnnies at Concordia Moorhead. Cobbers usually finish 5-5ish but they always feel like the best 5-5 team in the country to me. They'll put up a fight.

Stout at UWW. I haven't voted for the Blue Devils yet but I like 'em. A competitive loss might get them my vote.

Also of note Saturday is Wartburg at Central. For all the marbles in the ARC.

The weird thing about the MIAC's divisions, is that Bethel could lose to GAC, beat the cobbers to win the SKyline division, and then win the week 10 game to grab the MIAC's Pool A bid. Very strange scenario. In a normal year, a loss to GAC would be playoff/Pool C death, but it's a brave new world in the Post-UST MIAC.

I am high on Central this year.  Haven't faced the toughest schedule yet, but they look a little different this year, to me.  Building off their solid 2019, they looked to be dialed in on both sides of the ball.  Wartburg is always tough and physical, but The Dutch are at home this week.  I'm feeling a 33-27 type of game.

Interesting Observations

- Despite a 31-point loss to UWW, Stout gains 3 points and sneaks into the top 10. Quality loss no matter the outcome?
- On the flip side Gustavus loses to Bethel by 25, losing 17 points in the poll and drops two spots to 9th.
- UWO wins again, but looks like the committee is taking notice of their close games to unranked teams. They dropped 7 points and fall to 4th.
- Wartburg a big loss to a strong Central team drops them out of the poll...receiving no votes at all.

Good stuff!!

These results look pretty solid to me.  Pretty divergent opinions on La Crosse. If I were voting, I think I'd keep the same 10 with some shuffling.

We find out a lot more about UWO and UWL shortly. I'm also interested to see how UWP does down the stretch in the WIAC, given the Bethel result.

Dr. Doolittle

If CLU beats Pomona-Pitzer this Saturday, they will face Chapman for what will likely be for the SCIAC title the following week. If they are 6-0, maybe then, they will get more respect in polls.  I understand that they have played some weaker competition, thus far.   CLU 4-0 for the first time since 2006.
