I have CLU on my radar...had them at #10 this week.

Good start to their season

If CLU beats Pomona-Pitzer this Saturday, they will face Chapman for what will likely be for the SCIAC title the following week. If they are 6-0, maybe then, they will get more respect in polls.  I understand that they have played some weaker competition, thus far.   CLU 4-0 for the first time since 2006.

I wouldn't overlook the October 23rd Chapman@Redlands as most likely game at this point to decide SCIAC.

Interesting Observations

- Despite a 31-point loss to UWW, Stout gains 3 points and sneaks into the top 10. Quality loss no matter the outcome?
- On the flip side Gustavus loses to Bethel by 25, losing 17 points in the poll and drops two spots to 9th.
- UWO wins again, but looks like the committee is taking notice of their close games to unranked teams. They dropped 7 points and fall to 4th.
- Wartburg a big loss to a strong Central team drops them out of the poll...receiving no votes at all.

Good stuff!!

Was looking forward to this week's poll, given that we've seen a few more games now.

- Stout put up some solid offensive numbers against UWW, but hard to say how much of that was UWW dialing back on D, given they were up pretty handily.  I moved Stout to #10 in my poll given their resume so far.  We'll find out pretty quickly where they stand
- Gustavus had nothing for Bethel and if their QB is out, they're a different team. I thought this game would be closer; they went from #7 to out of my top 10.  Headed towards SJU and Bethel for MIAC champ.
- I have UWO at #2 still, but have taken notice of their close games.  Every year there's always a close conference game for a top WIAC team, so willing to look past just one game.  We're gonna know exactly where UWO stands after these next two weeks.
- Wartburg doesn't have it this year.  But this is more about Central....I'm still quite high on them, and #3, and a little surprised they didn't gain more votes with their win.

Debated a bunch on my 10th team this week.  Just couldn't pull the trigger on Chap/Red, or Gustavus.  So dug deep and put Cal Luth in at #10.

Looking forward to the huge tilt in the NWC this week, with Whitworth at Linfield.  I'm not as high on Linfield as the rest of this group and not ready with a prediction yet on the game, but can't wait.

We find out a lot more about UWO and UWL shortly. I'm also interested to see how UWP does down the stretch in the WIAC, given the Bethel result.

UWP was hit pretty bad with COVID for the first two games of the year, hence their early season struggles against ETB and Bethel (however I think bethel would have beat them healthy or not). Week 3 they started to get healthy and had a bounce back win against Franklin then played UWO close. They should be more competitive now.

I just wonder who the moron who has SJU at #6 is.

02 Warhawk

I won't name names, but rather have him explain himself if he chooses. His ballot, his opinion.

But I will say he had SJU ranked 3rd the previous week.

Yeah, I'm at a loss.

Yes, this is all just for fun....but lets keep some integrity in this poll please, and not use it as a platform for "payback".

A bit surprised (or maybe not) that I'm the only pollster on the Chicago bandwagon. AFCA has them where I do. If they get by Monmouth Saturday, you're likely looking at a 10-0 team with about a 500-100 scoring margin by mid-November. Granted, quality wins are few in there, but numbers are pretty gaudy so far.

You are not the first my friend.  The cats have to first get by another RAT.  :-*

How about an unknown D player and bells?
