We're Quarter horse chomping at the bit to race.
Huntingdon
Bye
Redlands
Bye
Puget Sound (bye *)
Whitworth
Pacific
PLU
George Fox
Willamette (*)
Lewis and Clark (*)
We've beaten Stevens Point, La Crosse, St
John's, North Central, Mary Hardin Baylor, Hardin Simon's and Pacific Lutheran the year after they won the national title.

Past seasons mean nothing. I don't care about a win over PLU way back when. Linfield's SOS will drop when they play Willamette and L&C, and if Redlands keeps being awful.

BTW, I'm on your side of the Rockies, so hush about the bias...

Bullcrap

It means nothing about this year. 1999 means nothing. This is a different team than 2021.

Of course 1999 doesn't matter. 2014,15,16 doesn't matter

However, a team's playoff performance in 2021 (a past season) can matter.

New team, new year. In reality you can't win this year's games without playing this year's team. There isn't a time machine.

There are program (s) that expect to win and produce consistent teams year after year.
UMU, for example.

Short a couple polls this week, but we'll take do. Lots of different opinions on who should be in the top spot with UWW falling.

This subject is always an interesting debate. Are you ranking for who would beat who or are you ranking on current year record only. I'm on the "use some historical data" side. Returning starters, previous season results head to head and against tougher competition. Programs are important.

Not sure either.  I could see questioning earlier in the season but this 2022 Linfield team is starting to peak and looks really damn good.

Ice says because they haven't ****ing played anyone. Ice says he agrees that at this point the Wildkittens should be up there, which he bases more on last seasons W over SJU than anything they have done this season. Ice says so far they have taken care of business, which is admittedly all they can do, but IIBHO you can't blame anyone for questioning their strength. A W over George Fox doesn't really do it for most.

Ice says everyone will just have to wait for the playoffs to identify just how good this Kittens team is in relation to the nations best. Ice Bear says meow.
