Western Connecticut-Mass-Dartmouth game postponed till Wednesday night at 7:00 PM

Keene 84
Plymouth St 78

Keene looked like they were going to put Plymouth away a couple of times tonight but the Panthers never gave up and came within 2 pts with 43 seconds left in the regulation.  Keene shot 56% from the field and 56% on 3-ptrs.  Nate Stitchell led all scorers with 23 very efficient points (8-9 from the field, 4-5 on 3's, 3-3 from the line) Two huge nights from two subs Jaquelle Edwards 16 pts and Tre Tipton with 10 pts.
Uche Nwokeji had an off night (7 pts) but Jack Preston picked up the slack with 22 pts.  Three other Panthers scored in double figures.

Keene moves on to play RIC in one semifinal.  They will have to shoot well and protect the ball as well as they did on Saturday when RIC played a tight 2-3 zone the entire game.

Waiting to see how the schedule breaks down with Eastern Conn playing host to both the men's and women's tournaments.

I knew USM wasn't very good.  They may have been the worst 2nd place finisher the conference has ever seen.  Back 4 or 5 years ago in the heyday of the league (back in 2012 the LEC had 4 teams finish with 20 wins which was the most in the country that year) they may have struggled to finish in 6th place.

Western/Dartmouth postponed tomorrow.  We know 1 semifinal is RI College vs. Keene State, and Eastern will host the winner of Dartmouth/Western, but I'll wait to post the semifinal schedule after tomorrow night's game ends.

I keep harping on it, but that year you mention was a lot of fun to follow.  There were some really good games.

Quarterfinals:
Eastern clobbers non-competitive UMass-Boston 93-65
Keene State avoids a collapse at the end to beat Plymouth 84-78
Rhode Island College, who didn't win any road games in the regular season, knocks out Southern Maine 64-63
Western at UMass-Dartmouth postponed to tomorrow at 7:00 pm, with the winner to play Eastern Connecticut.  UMD beat WCSU twice in the regular season, 89-82 in Danbury and 85-75 in Dartmouth.

It would appear the men's semifinals will be Saturday night this year.  I know RIC and Keene is at 7:30, so the first semifinal is presumably at 5:00 or 5:30.

Semifinals.  These are the last selections of the year  :'(.  There are a total of 11 points on the table for this week: the 2 games worth 4 points each (8 points total), and 4 bonus selections all of which can give you extra points as well.  Even with the percentages calculated in, booyakasha is the only one that has been officially eliminated from finishing first, but there are some others *coughmecough* where getting struck by lightning, walking home from winning the power ball AND surviving a plane crash on the same day are better odds of happening then me finishing first, but hey, you're saying there's a chance??  :o

Since I have to make up points why go with the crowd??  If I go with the 2 favorites and they win both, who cares I'm still behind and can't make up the points anymore!  If I go with the 2 underdogs and I lose both, who cares because I'm out anyways, but at least I gave myself a chance.  if I go with the 2 underdogs and I split/win both at least I still gave myself a fighting chance with the bonuses in play.
