Heads up - New SportsCenter "On the Road" for college football coverage

How do we get the ESPN guys to do this for the Monon Bell game?  Since DePauw is hosting this year, your ESPN-connected alumni should be able to help get us into the discussion.  Depending on how our games with Witt go, this game could be for all the marbles, or at least a spot in the playoffs.

Hokie, this has been something both schools have lobbied for forever.  It almost happened a few years back -- we keep pushing, and I encourage everyone to chime in if they have contacts, or just by pushing out social media messages.

On this day 70 years ago (9/22/1945), they played a game in our great series - http://www.depauw.edu/news-media/latest-news/details/19929/

I know that the collective alumni have lobbied for Game Day to come to the Bell game. This is something new. They  now have a "pre Game Day" team that is being deployed to secondary sites. Called "SportsCenter on the Road", it looks like they do a Friday night remote and a Saturday morning 6 to 8 AM (prior to Game Day) remote.  At least this is how I read the article.

Getting the actual Game Day guys to the Monon Bell game in November is a pipe dream but this may be something to pursue.

I'm happy to report I've been able to save (w/ a graphic arts assist from Don Amidon, the kingpin of the Crawfordsville mafia) another piece of the rivalry's history:  http://www.depauw.edu/news-media/latest-news/details/31871/

Well. . . . they did do amherst williams a few years ago.  Of course - i'm sure being a <2 hour drive from Bristol didn't hurt.

Major +k to 1837tigers for your great work on putting this together.

I am sure with a combined effort we could at least get on the radar. It is amazing what an actual letter can accomplish.

Game on.  If both teams hold serve against Denison (the best team remaining on each other's schedule) the Bell game is going to be for all the marbles.   Glad to see that Lynch has brought the program back.  This makes for an even better story line for the ESPN "On the Road" Folks.
