Middlebury 2  -  Trinity 0

Midd extends winning streak to 7 games.  Midd outshot Trinity 21-8 in their prior meeting and is undefeated at home.

Amherst 2  - Wesleyan 0

Wesleyan has dropped 5 straight games during which time they have been outscored 12-3.  They lost to Amherst 5-0 just last weekend.  The current Vegas over/under on yellow cards is 8.

Conn 2  -  Williams 1

Williams put up 11 goals in 2 games vs Babson and Colby -- and hasn't scored since.  Conn has yielded 14 goals in conference, by far the most of the top 4 seeds.  Williams finishes 7-7-2 for their first non-winning season since ?? (all winning seasons back through at least 1982)

Tufts 1  -  Bowdoin 0

Bowdoin prevailed in last year's tournament despite not scoring a goal in either the semis or championship game.  In the dry-run for this game Wednesday, Bowdoin succeeded in playing Tufts to a scoreless tie.  Bowdoin would clearly like to take this to PKs Saturday, but Majumder breaks through.

Guys, given that we're in the home stretch, let's agree on playoff scoring upfront.

For games that go into PKs, they are technically considered ties but in our case, I think we need to just give 1 point to correctly picking whomever ends up advancing. Agree?

Middlebury 1-0 Trinity - Trinity put up the performance of the season against Amherst. Coming back from 1-0 down was impressive, but what was even more impressive was that they held on for the draw, and I would even argue looked slightly the better team from the second half on. But Midd is too strong and will get things done on their home turf.

Amherst 2-1 Wesleyan - They say that the form book goes out the window in the playoffs, and I think Wesleyan will put up more of a fight than most would expect. But Amherst will be rejuvenated from their first dropped points of the season, and will edge this one, with the performance being dominant.

Conn 2-1 Williams - Aside from dropping a clanger at home to Bowdoin, Conn has looked very good this year. They rebounded from their first home loss with a nice 1-0 victory over Wesleyan. You never know which Williams team is going to show up, and while they've notched some impressive results - beating RPI away and Babson 7-2 on the road - I think Conn's consistency has to see them favorites.

Tufts 1-0 Bowdoin - I was very tempted to say that this would go to PKs, with Tufts edging it, but I think the Jumbos will get it done on their home turf. They'll know they very well could have won the previous meeting, and won't take the Polar Bears lightly. Still, could very well see Bowdoin springing the upset in this one.

I agree.  Also Corazon, could you check your picks from this week and confirm that you really have 35 points.  I've lost track of scoring and can't recall whether we're giving an extra point for correct score.  You only had two correct picks from Tues./Wed. games, so I'm not sure whether you're at 34 or 35.  Thanks.

I've been trying to keep track - 1 point for correct result, bonus point for correctly picking a tie - based on what Willtheman put in place. Admittedly, I don't spend a lot of time on this, so it is quite possible that there is an error or two.  If you find one, please post an updated standings.

The scoring is correct. Yes, I only picked 2 games correctly, but one of them was the Bates - Colby tie. Thus, I got 3 points.

It's you or me, 1970. Bring it on!

Corazon, correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like we are currently tied at 37 heading into the final weekend.

I posted on the other form in-depth explanation, but:

Middlebury 0-1 Wesleyan
Conn 0-1 Bowdoin

Final (for fun): Wesleyan 1-0 Bowdoin

Looking at Blooter's post, we can wait until the completion of tomorrow's games before picking the final (since we don't actually know the teams yet), unless we agree to make all predictions before the first game and live with whatever we pick.
