Oneonta St is 10-3-1 with one of the more ridiculously hard schedules.  They certainly have a resume that could host their first round pod, and pending results a chance to host.

They will be the #1 or #2 in the East.  Plattsburgh St likely, but that could change by the 4th secret ranking.

Mr.Right

Nope...They would somehow end up at F&M

I agree that if Oneonta wins out and with their SOS they could host to the Final 4.

However, I remember watching the live stream of the 16/8 games last year and their field looked dreadful! None of the traveling teams were happy with the field condition so that might have a factor in the decision making process of whether they get to host or not

It's a beautiful field but if you remember it was all snow up that way for those games so to even have it playable was impressive. Don't think anyone should have expected a pristine field condition after the weather that the region got.

Muhlenberg's field was equally bad if not worse. It looked like a cow pasture. Messiah players were not to happy about playing on it either, but at the same time it's not just one team playing on it its both teams so there is no real disadvantage that can be called out for. Both teams are playing vs each other on the same field conditions.

Very fair point. Always difficult to determine the weather factor while watching the games from the comfort of your couch

Yeah if either school had turf there wouldn't have been an issue at all. I always preferred grass when I was a player back in the stone age but wasn't against turf by any means.

Mr.Right

If I remember correctly not only was Oneonta's and Muhlenberg's field in horrible condition the Live Streams for all games at both sites was horrific. I noticed this year Oneonta's Live Stream has improved greatly

Because of bracketing your final four is very unlikely.  You could get 3 of those, though.

Oneonta now has turf, and the fiber optic cable explains the streaming

"In the summer of 2015, the field was renovated and a new field turf surface was installed.  The new surface on the field is Revolution Turf, which was the exact surface that the 2015 Women's World Cup was played on.  The field will be lined for both soccer and lacrosse, which will expand the facility's current use, while opening it up for expanded campus recreation and intramurals.  As part of the project a new scoreboard was installed along with new fiber optic cable for streaming."

I know Oneonta is public, but for the tuition rates most of the private dIII's charge now (many now >$60k/yr w/o aid), I'd love to see all schools upgrading their video delivery systems!  So many games are virtually unable to be followed due to poor video quality broadcasts.  There are a notable few schools that have fantastic video.  Congrats to Oneonta and their fans.  Hope to see others follow suit.

Almost as funny as Skidmore making NCAA's  8-)

Mr.Right

I never said Skidmore would make the NCAA's, I just said they are a VERY TOUGH TEAM to break down...Well organized and well coached and athletic enough to keep up with most teams....If you give me odds I will be happy to take Skidmore and SLU game this wknd
