I never said Skidmore would make the NCAA's, I just said they are a VERY TOUGH TEAM to break down...Well organized and well coached and athletic enough to keep up with most teams....If you give me odds I will be happy to take Skidmore and SLU game this wknd

SLU wins 3-1...only goal for Skid is probably an own goal with the way they struggle to hit the side of a barn let alone a net.

Boards are getting interesting. Credit for the gusto Mr Right but @ SLU with the way they have been playing is a tough bet for Skidmore, maybe if the game was in Saratoga. However, two years ago Skidmore did go to Canton and got a 1-0 shutout. Neither teams the same but I'm intrigued to see what you two settle this bet with.

This is what I was referring to earlier when I said Adam Beek for Skidmore would show up and "play" for the BIG games like at SLU and at Williams,etc...I believe he scored the goal 2 years ago or created it. Of course, he then would disappear and look uninterested in games Skidmore would play that hey should have won. He was a great recruit from Kent School in Ct by former Head Coach Ron McCeachen. The former University of Vermont coach got the Skidmore job in 2001 but he never got them to the NCAA"s...He was forced out earlier then he wanted back in 2012 when Skidmore had I believe a hazing fiasco..Nevertheless, he had recruited a solid class with Beek etc...

Mr. Right is correct.
Beek was something extremely special, but like many special players they get motivated when the lights are on.

He would have been a handful in the Dance, but was a great player nonetheless.

As for the Final four prediction:

Not sure how the brackets will shake out, but I think:
Kenyon/Oneonta/F+M/Stevens.

I wont add SLU because I'm not sure if my love is clouding my judgment.
I will say its the most talented SLU squad in the last 16 years though.

Saint, what would it take to get you to suppose that Amherst might be a final four contender this year?

Amherst might be the best team in the country RIGHT NOW but will Serpone finish it off....He is getting to be known as a choker in the NCAA's...I went thru year by year on another thread but his 2012 Amherst side was one of the best sides I had seen in a long long time...That PK loss to Williams was a massive choke job...

Mr Right you are a Serpone hater.

Since 2000 there have only been 6 college coaches that you cannot call chokers in NCAA.

Shapiro, Martin, Saward, Brandt & McCarthy, McGinley, Haines.

So that makes for over 400 chokers when it comes to the NCAA tournament.
