Mr Right you are a Serpone hater.

Since 2000 there have only been 6 college coaches that you cannot call chokers in NCAA.

Shapiro, Martin, Saward, Brandt & McCarthy, McGinley, Haines.

So that makes for over 400 chokers when it comes to the NCAA tournament.

I am not a Serpone hater, I am merely stating that Amherst has dominated the toughest conference in the country since he arrived in 2007 and should have won at least 1 if not 2 NCAA Championships in his 8 years...My point being with the talent he has had he should have at least gotten 3-4 sides to the Final 4...He got 1 in 2008 and that was his least talented side and basically the Gooding's recruits...

Yes, Amherst should have a title...

They are like Wisconsin basketball

Saint, what would it take to get you to suppose that Amherst might be a final four contender this year? ;)

Nothing at all.

I actually do think Amherst is s final 4 contender and the most consistent team in the country.

I just threw out 4 off the top of my head.

I even left out my boyz!

Trust me.
If Amherst climbs the mountain, I will be the first one on here offering congratulations.

Ok so lets do this....You throw down 300 bananas to win 150 from me for a SLU victory...

I throw down 300 bananas to win 450 from you if Skidmore wins or draws....

I want my bananas Mr. Right.

I am most interested in who they put into Amherst bracket as the "#2" seed...Will it be Brandeis and Montclair St or another NJAC or will it be Oneonta and SLU...They might even send a Haverford up to Amherst for the Sweet 16...I know the NJAC and Centennial teams have come up to New England a lot recently in the last 10 years.

Flying Weasel

Shooter, just remember geography.  No team west of Ohio in the Elite 8 might be unrealistic.

wingtips2

Trinity - Haverford - Kenyon - St Lawrence

Trinity may be the biggest choke act of all? Perennially ranked in the top 5/10 yet they have not threatened to win it in the last 7 or 8 years.

I lov people picking OWU - if they fail to beat DePauw this week they could miss the tourney entirely.

Was the same situation last year....doesn't matter how you get in?

The loser of that game could be squarely on the bubble, although I think both are deserving of bids.

Final 4
Amherst
Loras
Oneonta St.
Haverford

Elite 8
Brandeis
Trinity

Two others that can make a deep run and fly under the radar is Lycoming and Ohio Wesleyan. Both teams are perfectly built to run the table in crunch time.

Mr.Right

I actually think if Middlebury gets in they are really built for this tournament. Athletic, Great GK, Size advantage on any team in most positions, Strong spine, 2 legit strikers. With their direct style and formation they are one of the hardest teams to break down. Now if they went out and won Nescac championship and somehow could host until the Final 4, that is another MAJOR advantage for them. They have not lost at home in 2 years.
