This SLU team is an interesting mix of seasoned veterans with NCAA experience, and hugely talented freshmen who are carrying the offensive load.

It will be interesting to see how they react come tourney time.  Hopefully for the Saints, the freshmen aren't overwhelmed by the occasion and come continue to bang in the goals.

Defense, wins championships, right? 6 goals against in 17 games, 12 shutouts...

I don't ever remember seeing a SLU team this young.
I think 1994 was the closest.
You are correct though, senior leadership will have to take them the rest of the way.

Big few weeks coming up for #4, 21 and 14.

Trinity, Oneonta St, Loras, MSU.

Haverford, Amherst, Wheaton, Calvin (elite 8)

Super meta and boring but really who else can you say?

Amherst
Haverford
Loras
Montclair State

That said, Tufts will be upset-minded and I could see them knocking out MSU. Still would pick MSU from that quadrant.

Trinity, Oneonta St, Loras, MSU.

I can see Oneonta getting upset in the second round to Camden...tough draw for them. You know I didn't believe Camden shouldn't have been in if they lost the NJAC playoffs but I never said they weren't a good team  ;D

Mr.Right

Amherst is going to cruise to the Elite 8. If Trinity TX does not get upset that would be an Elite 8 rematch of 2008 in which Amherst prevailed in PK's.

Mr.Right

Also, If Trinity gets to Elite 8 to face Amherst that will be up here in Massachusetts. Not exactly San Antonio weather. Advantage Amherst.

NJrexSoccer03

Amherst, Rutgers-Camden :o, Loras, Monclair St.

Geographically this could be an elite 8

Elite 8
Trinity vs Loras
Amherst vs Middlebury/SLU
Haverford vs Oneonta St/NJAC school
Kenyon vs Calvin

I don't think we will see Oneonta St in the same pod as Amherst and Middlebury

Three byes:
Calvin, Kenyon (if win AQ), Amherst

Okay, so we have two of the four above Elite 8 possible match-ups.

Cannot believe Middlebury was shunned with a PK result in post-season...

If Camden can get by Oneonta St and SLU gets by Haverford... can see the Scarlet Raptors heading to KC.
