Kind of sad to say, but given the shape of this field, these teams would be better off reverting to Route 1. Too many games, too much rain, and the construction hasn't helped. But that field is killing this game. Sad to say for my alma mater.

Yes field is not helping at all. Even game for the most part. I saw Wash. Lee play Messiah. Bet they wish they were on the Falcons field right now! Not good quality for an NCAA tournament game. Looks like Muhlenberg's field last season in the elite 8 for the tufts messiah match. COW PASTURE!!!

And yes the construction probably isn't helping for the communication between players. I can hear those machines on the stream. It's loud.

It's a huge construction site too. So yeah, not helping. Going to be nice when it's done, but for this showcase moment, I'm a little aghast at my school.

Yes I am assuming dorms/apartment housing from what it looks like? Will be great to watch a game from the living room or deck! And the field looks like it would be nice but when it gets this late in the season you have conference playoffs on it they probably shouldn't have cut it so short. A little longer blade then cut it short for the final but it definitely looks chewed up just about everywhere on the pitch.

If you look, W&L is playing into a pretty stiff breeze. I think the Generals have had the better of play except for about 10 minutes. So I wonder after half if W&L will have an easier time connecting.

It is new upper class housing. Going to be beautiful. The field took a beating in the ODAC tournament and both men's and women's teams played and practiced on it all season. It's just in poor shape all around.

I see and yes that may be an advantage in the next half for WL. So they don't have a separate grass practice field to use? Most teams that have grass fields only play on it for game day.

To be honest I don't remember how it is set up anymore. There used to be at least 2 grass fields up that way but it's been moved around a lot lately. I feel like the practice field area is currently being used for staging the construction vehicles and materials. I think they've been practicing on the turf fields when the grass looked iffy and again at season end when they were trying to preserve the grass field. But I'm not 100% sure.

Just bad timing is all. It happens.

Yes. But it's really deteriorated just since the ODAC tournament. A shame for a game like this to be played on a field in that condition. Feel bad for both teams since it just doesn't lend itself to soccer.

Agreed.

W&L scraps a goal. They've dominated play in the second half so it was due, but it wasn't pretty.

Only a matter of time until they get another.

There's two. Too much pressure. W&L looks much better in the second half. Methodist is pinned back. I think the wind was playing a huge roll in the first half.

Great individual effort by Kim. Nice strike too. Game over. Keep me posted but I'm done watching this one  ;D
