I would love to play an NCAA game in the snow

I got to play in one last year, but it wasn't nearly this much snow and it was on a nice grass field. Loras' field isn't fun to play on on a good day (not quality turf) but with this snow? I don't envy those guys playing out there today.  I'm just hoping there aren't any serious injuries.

It's 10 years old, what do you expect, a fairway!?!  With as much speed and excellence that Loras had poured out on to that surface I am surprised it didn't completely melt away!!

I came close in 2013. San Antonio had its first snow storm/cold front in months and it was when the final four was going on. I thought I was going to Texas to escape the cold but instead played in 20 degree weather with 30 mph winds....

I was there in San Antonio and remember that cold, we were freezing our butts off and we were in a luxury box.  No one packed winter jackets to go to Texas.

I will never forget that final four only because of the weather. you try so hard to win to make it to Texas and play in the warmth in December only to be rewarded with the states first snowstorm in years haha

Wheaton looks really good. Could just be the snow + the turf, but they're zipping the ball around and playing some great passes, especially some slide-rule balls. Were unlucky not to take the lead.

Thoughts on Tufts Kenyon game. Thought Tufts had the better play all around. Great goal at the end by Kenyon. Thought Barnes played excellent for Kenyon. I think Kenyon's defense will be the weakness that keeps them from winning the title. Amolo was the worst of the 3 forwards Tufts played this tournament. The pk was questionable and it deflated Tufts for a short period. The Tufts midfield could have played a a little quicker. Kayne was double teamed but managed to get off some good balls. He had several steals on defense.  Kenyon has a nice midfield. Don't know why they stopped using them in second half. think their defense will have trouble with tall strong forwards. Majumber played excellent. I can see
Kenyon winning tomorrow. Stop Amolo and Barnes and and pressure their defense is the way to beat them.

Tony has another year left, so hopefully he will work on his game this summer and show a lot of improvement.

Yes, he has skill. Just think he needs to work on his focus and get a little more blue collar attitude.

it's kind of funny with the snow because you can see how messy st Olaf defensive third is compared to wheatons defensive third.

Any predictions on Wheaton/St.Olaf.... Have to think this plays in Olaf's favor with slowing down Wheaton's speed.

On the other hand, sometimes these conditions highlight who has superior touch and ball control and short passing game.  Not sure how Wheaton is managing (I've just now gotten the video to work) and I know they play with more speed and urgency than did Messiah (Wheaton may be closer to 2002 Trinity in that regard), but Messiah in 2002 in the snow on St. Lawrence's field hockey turf seemed able to play closest to their normal game out of the four teams.

Agreed.  With the conditions like this, this could be one of those "first goal wins" type of games.
