Two things: the storm hit the Baltimore area yesterday afternoon, but won't end snowing until very, very late tonight/early tomorrow morning. The winds will also be around until morning. So that answers that question. :)

The second thing, when games are postponed and they find a makeup date, SIDs and others can easily just change that game in the system... you never see "postponed" on the schedule because the game simply moves.
29.5 inches at BWI?  Wow!

In the upper midwest we call that 'a dusting'. ;D

Big Games today, Sunday... note, some makeup games not considered

SAA Birmingham-Southern H  (5 - 0) (10 - 6)       vs Sewanee A  (4 - 1) (12 - 5)     First place vs second
NEAC Gallaudet H  (5 - 2) (8 - 5)       vs Morrisville State A  (6 - 2) (10 - 6)                 2nd place in each division
SUNYAC Plattsburgh State H  (7 - 0) (12 - 2)       vs Geneseo State A  (4 - 2) (10 - 3)      1st place vs contender
CC Gettysburg H  (8 - 1) (13 - 3)       vs Swarthmore A  (7 - 2) (13 - 3)                        2 of the 3 leaders

hopefan,

Plattsburgh State, unfortunately, lost to Brockport on Saturday to fall to 7-1 in the conference. So that made today's game even bigger. If Geneseo won the game today that would have given the top four teams 2 losses each and basically created a 4 way tie.  Plattsburgh wasn't about to drop 2 in a row at home, however, and defeated Geneseo 98-87 to win today's big game to move them to 8-1 in the SUNYAC.

Yep... and down home Chicago (I was there for the Blizzard of 79 - or 78). However, I don't think my life in Maine saw this big a storm at once. I have seen more snow on the ground after many storms - even seen more on the ground here in Baltimore (back-to-back blizzards of 2010). But I also had better snow removal gear. :)
