Hey Pat/Gordon/Dave do you want a start a new thread for 2016-17??

The NESCAC concludes their regular season Sunday with 1 game (Williams @ Bates).  Seeds 1 (Tufts), 2 (Middlebury), 3 (Amherst), 4 (Wesleyan) & 5 (Trinity [CT]) are set and locked with the rest of the tournament field set and locked as well: Bates, Hamilton & Williams will be the other 3 teams competing with the first 5 for the auto, pool A bid.  A Bates win puts Bates (6), Hamilton (7) & Williams (8) while a Williams win will leave Williams (6), Bates (7) and Hamilton (8).  First game are on campus sites 2/18; semifinals and finals are on the site of the highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals Saturday 2/25-Sunday 2/26.

The NESCAC tournament is set:

#7 Bates (15-9, 4-6)
@ 2/18 2:00 PM
#2 Middlebury (22-3, 8-2)

#6 Williams (17-7, 5-5)
@ 2/18 2:00 PM
#3 Amherst (17-6, 7-3)

#5 Trinity (CT) (15-9, 6-4)
@ 2/18 3:00 PM
#4 Wesleyan (19-5, 6-4)

#8 Hamilton (16-8, 4-6)
@ 2/18 2:00 PM
#1 Tufts (19-5, 8-2)
Semifinals 2/25 at the highest seed remaining after the quarterfinals.
Tufts, Middlebury & Wesleyan should all be NCAA tournament teams no matter what happens in the quarterfinals or the rest of the NESCAC tournament.  The winner of Amherst/Williams will probably get added to that list as well (more so Amherst than Williams).  The loser of Amherst/Williams will be squarely on the pool C bubble, but Amherst is probably in better shape than Williams is.  The other 3 teams (Bates, Hamilton, Trinity) have no realistic pool C chances and need to win the automatic bid to get in.

We can keep it going here... just change the title. Done. :)

Well I thought I changed it (changed it on my response). We will get it changed for the thread shortly.

I have last year's Conference Tournament Tracker bookmarked. I assume the site will update for this year? It's a great tool and makes  keeping up with the tourneys very easy.

I know we have it, but I can't tell you if it will be the same link. If your link as any reference to a date in it "2015-16" than it will change and it might be as simple as the date being this year. We file a lot under a dating system (look at Hoopsville links, for example).

Yep, same link URL with a different year. You can see the few conference tournaments that are set on it now but we won't push it live to a larger audience until after Saturday.

The Division III season has officially entered "Crunch Time." Regular season schedules are wrapping up, conference tournaments are about to begin, teams are jockeying for conference position or trying to win home-court advantage. And it is all happening the uncertainty of whether NCAA tournament berths are available for a lot of teams.

On Thursday night's Hoopsville, Dave McHugh not only takes another look at this week's Regional Rankings, but also tries to read the tea leaves. He also chats with four teams that all still have something to play for. Whether it is to better position themselves in the eyes of the NCAA committees or just to turn more heads in their conference tournament, these teams are still pushing to continue their seasons.

Hoopsville is presented by D3hoops.com and airs from the WBCA/NABC Studio starting at 7:00 PM ET LIVE. You can watch the show on the official show page here: http://www.d3hoops.com/hoopsville/archives/2016-17/feb16 ... or you can watch the live simulcast on Facebook Live. If you miss the show, you can catch-up on Demand or listen to the podcasts (which will be uploaded at the conclusion of the show).

A reminder the Thursday edition of Hoopsville primarily covers the East, Mid-Atlantic, Great Lakes, and West regions, but we will answer any questions about all of Division III throughout the show. You can also send your questions to the show and have them featured on the Hoopsville Mailbag segment. Email them to hoopsville@d3hoops.com.

And please consider helping Hoopsville stay on the air like you might help your public television station. The annual fundraising campaign has less than three weeks remaining, but we are no where close to reaching our goal. Click here for more information: Hoopsville Fundraising Page

For the HCAC, on the tourney tracker page it says both that higher seeds host quarterfinal games, and that the regular season champ hosts all three rounds.  Does anyone know which is correct?

As this is a page that we're not sharing publicly yet, there might be some things we're still working on.

HCAC is a three-day event at Hanover.

If you find out, let me know.  I've been trying to track down anything - a facebook post, some comment somewhere - I haven't gotten any leads at all.

We saw a forfeit today as well with Southern Vermont walking over Daniel Websiter; I believe that was the final regular season game for both, but strange.
