Washington and Lee is up 6-0, with 10 minutes left in the game.

Great job W&L!

Hopkins v. Dickinson. Dickinson scores early, JHU scores at the beginning of 2nd half.  Dickinson just scored so 2-1 to extend their season as Swarthmore beat Haverford 2-0. Both D goals were scrambles in the box. If it stands then Dickinson will be the 6th seed over Haverford and JHU the 4th seed.

F&M v. Wash College.  Slow, slow with WC looking a little more dangerous. F&M not doing much.

SierraFD3soccer

Sorry Hopkins Walk On, at least you got a chance to spend quality time with your daughter. Another scramble in the box. 3-1 Dickinson with about 15 left.

Dunshee deserves a LOT of credit.  One way to nullify the potent F&M forward line threats is to keep the ball away from them.  We'll see if WC can continue in the second half.

Definitely and great goal by WC.  Last 2 games and the first half of the WC, F&M is looking like they did last year when they could not connect in last 1/3 of the field. Obviously, a lot to play still.

Dickinson big win over Hopkins to get the 6th seed over Haverford. 4-2.

SierraFD3soccer

Washington College went up on F&M 2-0 with a second nice goal. F&M put some pressure and unfortunately by WC they had an own goal though Oscar Horowitz was right there to put it in if the WC player did not play.

30 minutes left.

I'll add my RPI update later but I think you will probably be 14/14 on those predictions!   Alvernia is the most interesting team for me right now.  They are by far the fastest risers in RPI and have another game against Widener and then potentially Messiah (both high win% to boost Alvernia's SOS even further).  Depending on how the Centennial tourney goes, Alvernia could end up as high as 4 or 5

HALF:  Cabrini 1 - Marywood 0

Pretty quiet Atlantic East Conference semi-final game offensively, but Cabrini takes the lead in the 34th minute on a penalty kick in an effort to extend their season, and the life of the Cabrini soccer program, at least one more game (the women lost in Pks in the first round of the conference tournament on Saturday).

This also could be the last home game of the Cabrini soccer program's existence.  Home has been good to them.  This year, Cabrini has been 5-2-2 at home and 1-5-1 away (and 0-1 at a neutral site).

Hopkins Walk-On

Hopkins wins 4-0 vs. Swat.

Hopkins didn't look great in the first half but still dominated possession. Racked up 3 goals in the second half, including one while playing a man down.

The man down situation was the result of Griffin Meyer, Hopkins' leading scorer by a wide margin, receiving a second yellow on a ridiculous call by the ref. He received his first yellow for an inadvertent arm/hand to the face of a Swat defender. The second yellow appeared to be because he tried to shoot when a Swat defender was in front of him and connected with the defender rather than the ball. He'll miss the semifinal playoff game.

Hopkins defense looked much better than previous games but was never put under any pressure so it's difficult to make any judgments on whether they have improved.

Cabrini extended it's lead to 2-0 on a Marywood own goal in the 78th minute and then held on as
Marywood got a goal in the 88th to make it 2-1, but ran out of time for the rally.

The season, the program, and for some, their soccer careers, extended one more game.

UPDATE:  Neumann beats Marymount VA in 2OT 2-1 and Cabrini plays @ Neumann on Saturday in the AEC finals

Top 7 for Region IV is set. I don't think the results from this past week changed much for regional rankings so I wouldn't be surprised if the rankings for this week are the same as last week.  Montclair, Stockton, Stevens, LVC, Kean, Rowan, PSU-Harrisburg.

Region V saw some more movement.  Messiah and F&M locks.   Washington College with some big results moving them up while Hopkins and Muhlenberg drop a bit.  Alvernia on the rise after beating Widener.  They face them again in the MACC semis and then they get Messiah if they win.  I think they could end up leap frogging Muhlenberg but their ceiling is the 5 spot.  Widener drops out completely.  Beating Alvernia can get them back in the rankings but it's AQ or bust at this point.  The 2 landmark teams in the rankings could potentially face each other in the Landmark finals if they each win their respective semis (Drew v Catholic, Goucher v Lycoming)

Looking at the national rankings, it seems like approximately .6 RPI could turn out to be the cutoff for Pool C bids.  42 teams currently have an RPI of .6 or above

That's a major blow, losing Meyer for the semis.
