Long, long season. FYI Lynchburg does not look like behemoth so a lot of ways to get to the NCAAs

Hopkins win today v. Sewanee (2-0) was never close. For long stretches, it was Hopkins' offense v. Sewanee's defense in half the field. Sewanee's three shots were generous gifts by the official scorekeeper. Hopkins GK didn't have to make a single save. Final score should have probably been a greater margin but Hopkins is not likely to blow many teams out.

I think... dare I say... they, along with Mary Washington, had the best all around team performances of the weekend.  The soccer was outstanding.

On the flip side, I will say Montclair is far and away the biggest disappointment.

As to Montclair, yes and no. When you don't have the D3 player of year on the field, it could be tough year. W&L may fall into this as well.  It's been a while since they lost a game when taking the lead 1-0 in the reg. season.

Apropos of nothing, I had to swap out my old work laptop and just now realized that my bookmarks didn't transfer over.

I had every team's schedule page bookmarked in the Centennial, Landmark, MAC, NJAC, C2C and ODAC (just cause). I don't know if I have the energy to rebuild that.

SC what game did you watch this weekend of Montclair? Curious if you broke down or broke into the paywall

Hopkins92

While flipping through and re-establishing my bookmarks...

PRIDE NATION!! I kind of forgot my second team over the summer. GA Sean Fatiga, the all-time leading scorer at Widener, already has 2 goals in 2 games. They have posted a 1-0-1 record.

Roar.

I think I'll just keep dropping in random comments until I get my bearings. To that point...

Rowan certainly doesn't mess around with its OOC schedule early on... They travel to Lancaster and Baltimore (fri - sun) for quite a tester of a road trip. (I mean, I assume they are not actually going on the road for the whole weekend...)

Ejay

Simplecoach and I talked on his latest show about how brutal Rowan's schedule is this year.

They spent the weekend in Maryland to play Salisbury and St. Mary's.
They'll spend the weekend in Virginia to play Mary Washington and CNU.
They'll travel 4+ hours midweek to play Cortland.
The Hopkins, F&M double dip likely isn't a weekend trip because both are less than 2 hours and there's a day off between.

They should take a page from the Oneonta "How to Schedule" book - 10 of first 12 games at home, with one of those away games only 1 mile down the road at Hartwick.

Hopkins92

Yeah, I actually mapped the trip to Lancaster and was surprised how close it is. I always forget the proximity between schools in PA and NJ.

Freddyfud

Rowan will be returning back to campus after the F&M game and yea it's only a couple of hours from Glassboro to Lancaster and Baltimore.

Freddyfud

York PA visited Chestertown to take on the Shoremen.  1-1 result.  Probably fair as the teams seemed pretty evenly matched.  At least in the first half which I was able to watch live.
