And who knows which schools don't even bother to report attendance.  If my memory serves me, in the early 2000's Messiah wasn't reporting attendance and so even though they surely were near the top in attendance, the record books didn't reflect that.  Now, 15 or so year later, Messiah reports attendances to the person (how, I have no idea).  Anyway, maybe even now there are some schools that draw very well, but don't report their attendances.

Messiah reported 4150 for homecoming game this past weekend. I venture to say that was an estimate. I wonder who comes up with the attendance number.  Eyeball test I'm guessing. Stands full to capacity probably 2000-2500? The add area around fence, people in the grass, etc.

According to this shoemaker field can seat several thousand. http://gomessiah.com/sports/2012/1/3/GEN_0103121421.aspx

Thanks for the data.  I pretty much nailed it.  Would have guessed OWU, Wheaton, CNU and Loras all in top 5-6.  Also was pretty confident about Roanoke or Lynchburg and Hope.  Mildly surprised about F&M but not sure why I'm surprised.  And Geneva and SUNY Canton.  And I thought Trinity might have been a little higher, and maybe another West school like Redlands.

How are you updating the SOS?  A heck of a lot of number crunching goes into the OOWP portion of the SOS.

Forget that.  I see that you did not update the SOS's either.  The "(thru 10/23)" after "SOS" threw me.

The only thing updated are the results from the the games played. Everything else is copied from last week's regional rankings.  :)

Don't know all of the RvR and we will find out tomorrow but based on knowing some of those numbers, the SOS from last week and this week's results I think there will be some shifting in the rankings. I will give it my best guess.

1. Messiah (that was easy)
2. Hopkins
3. Lyco
4. Gettysburg
5. Dickinson
6. Haverford
7. Drew
8. LVC
9. F&M
10. Etown

It was fun while it lasted.  G'Burg loses to Catholic 3-2 in OT. This is a HUGE loss

Devastating loss for Gettysburg last night which will surely drop them in the 3rd rankings. It will not affect them today but they have a lot of work to do after last night's defeat to Catholic. This seems to be the trend with Gettysburg. Start out hot and look like a contender then fade away when it matters most down the stretch.

Some games to watch today around the region include:

Hood at Messiah
Arcadia at Leb Val
Muhlenberg at Etown
Susquehanna at Misericordia
Stevenson at Alvernia
DeSales at Moravian

Playoff implications on the line as well as keeping pace within the region. This week and weekend are critical for many teams playoff hopes.

You're probably pretty close, but I would certainly not want to play Drew - I don't care what their SOS is.

I'd personally flip Drew and Haverford because of the head to head result but I think the committee will keep Haverford ahead based on RvR and SOS. Although if it's close they should favor head to head, so if they are neck and neck maybe Drew will jump them, but I can't see the committee doing that based on each team's SOS alone.

Is F&M a dangerous sleeper team if they can find a way to get into the tournament....AQ or otherwise?  Didn't look but assume their SoS is good.

I think they could be. They need the AQ at this point though in my opinion. They had a sluggish start trying to figure out how to play without Ugo. They would be 2-4-2 RvR and SOS around .600ish. Definitely worthy of a ranking slot but for me they need the AQ for any hopes of NCAA's or a lot of other twists to happen in order to jump into a top 5 regional spot.

Reason I have them and Scranton in my predicted rankings over Etown and Eastern for this week is due to the amount of ranked opponents. 2-4-2 isn't awful but it's not good. Scranton is similar with a .575ish SOS and 2-4-0 RvR AND the head to head on Etown, which is why they swapped places in my view. F&M at 5 losses and 2 ties, Scranton at 6 losses, Etown at 5 losses and a tie. All are in the same boat in terms of # of blemishes. Etown I believe will be around .590ish SOS and 1-4-0 RvR including that head to head loss with Scranton. Can't see how the Blue Jays would stay in front of them but they do have a win over F&M which could come into play. Regardless, its AQ or bust for both Scranton and Etown and more than likely AQ or bust for F&M as well.
