Hood wins. This was a clinic on how to play dump and run ineffectively. Neither side made much effort to possess, though Hood tried to do so more than Lyco. Surely Lyco missed Sinclair Tueno, who earned himself a red in the previous game vs LVC.

I was at the game.  Lyco seemed slow on the field.  The Hood goalkeeper did a good job, as well.  But the Hood team, played faster and more physically than Lyco.  The rain was not helpful to either team and contributed to less than stellar play. However, I don't think the rain was a factor in the outcome.

Lycoming needs to hope they jump Dickinson by the final rankings to have any shot of an at-large. I think they will be behind them for the 3rd rankings and could overtake them depending on how things shape up with conference tournaments. Even then it will be tight for that 6th place team to get an at-large bid. 1 through 5 should all be safe at this point.

Regardless of Haverford impressive run, F&M has the H2H, likely higher SOS, and more wins RvR.  I agree, line by line with MAF

I'm still assuming that 3 Centennial teams are in, with Dickinson needing to win the AQ, IMO

The NESCAC and UAA are going to swallow up those Pool C, NJAC might get three.   I think if Rowan loses, they are on the wrong side of the bubble.

and Haverford's SOS is higher than F&M.
and Haverford and F&M have same number of overall wins (12)
and Haverford has a 8-1 conference record; F&M has a 5-1-3 conference record

but F&M did beat Haverford in OT

lastguyoffthebench

and Haverford lost to WPU, F$&M beat WPU

Haverford has a lower SOS last ranking and played Stevenson, Mules, and Swat
F&M played McDaniel.

For me the difference is RvR results.

Whether or not Haverford wins the AQ, they will be in the tournament.  They might sweat it out if they lose the semifinal, but the body of work suggests they are more than deserving

Catholic with a nice win over Drew tonight to advance to the Landmark final where they will travel to Etown. The Bluejays defeated Moravian tonight after trailing early on.

Eastern advanced to the Freedom final where they will host Kings. Eastern breezed past Misericordia 5-2 while Kings snuck by in OT 1-0 over Manhattanville.

Dickinson defeats Gettysburg 1-0 to advance and face Haverford in the Centennial semi-finals as F&M will face JHU.

Stevenson defeated Alvernia 3-2 in a second half thriller as they win the prize of travelling to Messiah for the Commonwealth semi-finals. Leb Val will travel to face Lycoming in the other semi-final match.

Centennial may get well get 3 bids with all 4 of the semi finalists ranked. One will get the AQ..my bet is JHU or Haverford. I saw F&M play one game and they did not look as good as last year. Seemed to give the ball away a lot. Could have been an off game. I don't think Dickinson can pull it off so that leaves JHU and Haverford.  Those 2 and F&M should all get bids.

Reposting from the national perspective thread:
I watched bits and pieces of the Lycoming game from earlier this afternoon and Lycoming looked as good as they have all season. A nice statistic for those of you who track foul counts and card counts...fouls were 14-10 Lyco and not a single yellow or red card in the game for either team!  Lycoming is most certainly a bubble team but will need a little bit of help for an at-large as all bubble teams do. If Dickinson loses to Haverford then Lycoming will certainly jump Dickinson in the final rankings regardless of the Messiah vs Lyco outcome. Being in the top 6 of the Mid-Atlantic region is a must for a shot at a bid. Even if Dickinson wins vs Haverford and loses in the final to JHU/F&M I still think Lycoming will jump them after the result today.

As for the conference final matchup it should be a spectacle! This is the 5th conference final Lycoming has advanced to in the last 6 seasons and they have won 3 of the last 5. It has proven to be a fun match to watch as a neutral fan over the last half decade. After watching these two teams throughout the year they both look like NCAA tournament teams to me along with F&M, Hopkins, Haverford, and Eastern. It would be great for the region to see all of these teams in the tournament this year!

I had F&M ahead because F&M has more ranked wins, more wins total, less losses, a higher SOS and equal overall blemishes as well as the H2H over the Fords. No chance they were ever jumping F&M.

95% of the fields in the Philadelphia area are closed for USSF today

Oh those pesky field conditions will be why Haverford loses today if that's the case...

They must have contingency plans in place for turf fields you'd think since multiple games need to played...

Watching warmups.   Haverford field looks good considering...
