NEAC
(I think top 6 go? Just looking at the 2019 set-up. Everyone has a game in hand on #1)
PS Harrisburg - 21
St. Mary's - 15
Lan Bible - 11
PS Berks - 9
PS Abington - 8
Penn College - 6

Galludet - 3

The NEAC is now the United East Conference (UEC).  And they will only have a 4-team conference championship tournament this year according to their Men's and Women's Soccer Operating Code, page 4.

Thanks, FW. I was getting pulled into a work thing and just kind of gave up trying to figure all that out.

Time for some new energy at Scranton, great facility a few  years old, women's soccer and field hockey excelling. Men's team plodding along with an anemic offense. This program can be better.

I haven't watched many of their matches closely. Are they missing anyone? It seems to me that they should be right there pushing for what is a very winnable Landmark title this year.

One that I am aware of left the team. Coach's wife is the women's coach. I wonder if that complicates things

Not sure. Piv has always struck me as a good guy that runs a solid program. He has always been able to get a few game changer type players that have given him success to go a long with a solid team and fairly deep bench. Other coaches seem to really respect him.

The new facility is very nice, but I always wonder if sitting off campus hinders the atmosphere they could have. Plus, I miss the train rolling by at the old field, but I'm sure most coaches do not miss how narrow that pitch was.

Like I said, I think a number of teams could win the Landmark. Not sure I have seen anything out of any of them that shows they could win more than one game or so in the tournament when it comes time.

Appreciate the insight. Take away 4 goals scored against Marywood and the team has 6 goals on the season. Just wondering out loud, how good the program could be....

Obvious Point Alert!

That tilt up in Lancaster on Tuesday is a real doozy. Tough game to plant at this point in the season, right at the tail end of conference play.

Not sure I can endure another Neanderthal Ballgame ...

Falconer

Falcons in total control at the half,4-0 vs Hood. Shots 19-1. Hood isn't having their best year, but even so they seem hapless in a flat 4-man defensive wall trying to create offsides calls. The Falcons are in high gear now, playing at a Final Four level as they have been most of the season—not something I can honestly say that often, but this year they are consistently dominant and always dangerous.

Good to see Kokolios finally back in the lineup. And, he has a goal tonight to boost his confidence. They need him up to speed for the tournament, esp since CM Luke Groothius suffered a season-ending injury early in the OT win over Eastern. I dare say, that injury may have been partly responsible for the result Eastern got. You don't just replace a Luke Groothius, one of the very best players in D3. But, this year's team is loaded with very experienced, talented players, and Luke Brautigam has stepped up magnificently to fill that role. He's a big-time player, like his brother (whose OT goal beat Brandeis in the Final Four in 2017). The loss of LG is still huge and could negatively impact the post-season, but Brautigam really has been a worthy replacement. Adam Cole is also back from injury, helping solidify the back line for what's next.

One game remains on the schedule: a rescheduled tilt with PSU-HBg on Friday. With heavy rain expected all day then, I won't be surprised if it can't be played. Given that the opponent is now ranked, it would be the perfect way to round out what has been an undefeated season so far. We'll see what happens.

Hopkins92

Bullets v. Bishops was a fun game. Bullets with a nice 2-1 win, but Catholic was a very game squad.

Messiah demolished Hood.
Alvernia 3-0 win to keep their season going.
As noted here and other threads, game of the day in this region was Eastern with a nice 3-2 win against a scrappy Pride (widener) squad. 2-0 went to 2-2 and then one of the prettier free-kick goals you'll see from the Eagles to ice it.

paclassic89

Nice win from Eastern but their season is over after York's win over Stevenson tonight.  The MACC tournament field is set going into the final gameday.  Still some jostling left for seeding but Messiah, Alvernia, LVC, York, and Stevenson have clinched spots.

Messiah allows a goal against the run of play to PSU-H... 1-0 with about 15 left in 1st half.

Lions with the upset. 1-0...
