If someone can please tell me what the F&M Keeper was doing on the second goal, I would appreciate the insight.

SC.

Oh goodness. Just kind of got lost at sea there.

PK for Hop!

WTF is this ref doing?? I've never seen anything like this before a PK. WTF.'

Ian Wammond is a stud.

1-0 Hop.

Weird refs today

Yeah, there's no rule (I'm aware of) for switching a PK taker out. This guy has been wonky all night. And usually wonky favors the home team  bc the guy is emotional. Good crowd at this game for Washington.

This ref is absolutely horrible.

Hopkins Walk-On

Ref not calling much as the game nears to a close.

Good result. But, man... This team is on a razor's edge in terms of finishing.

Hop v. Muhles in the final in Charm City on Sunday.

Ugh. Was hoping the game would be at noon so I could attend. 1500 start time  conflicts with DD HS conference title game.

Seems like the Mid-Atlantic likely lost some hosting duties tonight.

Rowan is going to win that game... up to 2-0 with (I don't know, because the dumb feed doesn't have a running clock) about 2:30 left.

That was hilarious. Sorry, to clarify, an MSU player fore-arm stiffed a guy from Rowan as they were setting up for the kickoff. Ref probably should've kicked that guy out of the game.

I'm saying hilarious, because I have zero skin in this rivalry.

Yeah, big time miscommunication there.  Other than that, I thought Farrell played pretty well and he definitely kept it from being 3-0 on that shot from Pietila (bet he wishes he could have that one back).

What was your take on Mulford? I thought he played well for the most part; but, I felt his kicks were inconsistent.  He had that one punch towards the end of the 2nd half that I felt he should have grabbed.

I like Akdag's impression of Erling Haaland complete with the top-knot.  Too bad he didn't have a goal to go with it.
Nice win for the Mules.  Gut-check for Wagner and his Dips.  We'll see if they get a chance to avenge it.

And now it's 3-0 and the fans are fighting.

GO JERSEY!!

So freaking fantastic.

Yeah, I don't want to rub salt in any wounds, but... F&M's win in Baltimore was a VERY shaky win. It was a fluky goal and Hopkins really dominated the majority of that match. To see the Dips rocket up the charts off that win, while understandable, seemed a big overblown. Such is the nature of D3 soccer. Not saying Hop is demonstrably better, just that there's so much relative parity that one win in a 20-ish season takes on out-sized proportions.

I think if Hopkins beat Muhlenberg and Dickinson they might have had a shot to host, but they are a bit light on RvR wins which obviously could change after this weekend.  Don't see the Dips hosting after dropping this game, but stranger things have happened.  Combine that with the fact that a lot depends on whether or not schools submit bid proposals in the first place.

Hopkins women are #2 in the country and play for the Centennial conf. championship on Sunday v. Dickinson. If they win, they will definitely host.

Not trying to be overly defensive, but Hop is 4-1-1 in RvR, which is (probably) why they are still ranked 2nd in the region this week. Today's win is huge because it helps with winning percentage.
