#2445
0-0 typical Cent Conf showdown. JHU v. Muhls

Can't comment who was best. Both had chances.

Was a little disappointed with the non card for JHU wrecking the keeper late  in the game. He definitely was late and should have gotten a yellow at least.

Agree. Should have been a yellow at least.

Pleasent suprise to see my Royals tie Cortland 2-2.

Messiah outshot and outscored as they lose their 3rd in a row at home; 0-1 to PSU-Harrisburg.  They now travel to Rowan on Wednesday and with another loss will be 4-4.

Like usual, a lot of parity in Cent Conf except for Haverford and Ursinus.

Dickerson couldn't get it done against Washington College. Going to guess all Cent Conf coaches will be closely reviewing that tape.

Thanks for putting this out here. Being a F&M fan, I appreciate it. However, right now, F&M may get there especially since it will play Dickinson and Swat (I think Swat on this Saturday).

So right now, imo, at least Swat and Dickinson should be above F&M with their successes. F&M was just not getting it done in the beginning of the season with its 4 ties (to include Kenyon and Rowan).

Things may be turning for F&M as its main goal scorer, Oscar Horwitz, is back with three goals over the last two games. So, if F&M is successful against Swat on Saturday . . . .

I was torn between the success and results vs that + strength of opponents. I went with F&M for now as they have a hard schedule with solid results. Dickinson could easily be 1 instead of 2 but I am not seeing the hype for Swat. Maybe 1 good result so far? Occidental? They are taking care of business but could also see them missing conference playoffs. Need more time before I move them up further.

Dickinson have played a harder schedule thus far, in my opinion, and have good results. I'd lean them over Swat and others. F&M has played the toughest schedule and is trending in the right direction. They are lacking a signature win but also haven't dropped a game yet.

If I had to pick between F&M and Dickinson in a H2H right now I'd take the Diplomats, and for that reason they edge out the Red Devils...for now  :)

As for the rest of the rankings...it's truly a toss-up. Hopkins seem to always be there and have had a solid start to the year. Lycoming has been flying under the radar and has put together a nice start to the season. Messiah is in free fall by their standards but still not a team anyone wants to face. I'm confident they will sort it out before conference play. Rowan looks solid but time will tell how good they really are. York has turned some heads and are headed in the right direction from previous years. Montclair probably could be higher but it's jam packed from 4 thru 9. PSU-Harrisburg gets the nod at 10 but take your pick for that spot.

I think F&M would be a bottom half NESCAC team.

Really going out on a limb with that opinion since Massey currently has F&M ranked below Tufts,Middlebury,Amherst,Bowdoin,Conn,Williams, and Wesleyan  ;D

That is just fine, and, right now, can't disagree.  Please note that this Mid Atl and not NESCAC. Not a single NESCAC team listed by MAF.

And??

This is not the NESCAC page. I believe the only thing I commented on the NESCAC page was the fact that the Middlebury goal was scored by F&M top scorer's younger brother in a 1-1 tie with Amherst. NESCAC for years have been the best D3 conf. F&M lost to Conn Coll in pk's last year and three years ago to Middlebury 2-0 in the 2nd round.

As to Massey, Rowan (tied F&M and has 3 loses), JHU (2 loses and one tie - with the two JHU loses against teams F&M tied), Swat, Dickinson, Messiah (3 loses) which Massey currently ranks ahead of F&M. All fine which is why I stated that I would put Dickinson and Swat ahead of F&M right now. Massey is always interesting.

Let's see how the F&M Swat game checks out and Dickenson v. Muhls who tied JHU 0-0 this weekend. After the weekend, the NESCAC will still be the superior conf.

I don't agree.  I'd probably place Amherst, Tufts, and Middlebury above F&M from what I've seen. I'd rank Conn and F&M about even.  Not impressed with Williams and think F&M could probably beat them.  Haven't watched Bowdoin or Wesleyan yet this year but based on results, I'd take F&M over them right now.  So that puts F&M 4/5 in NESCAC

Good to know. I enjoy comparing the regions and the teams.  I see some get a little ruffled and that is a result of my opinion.
