D3 early season tournaments

Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove, PA) is looking for two more teams for our tipoff tournament November 15-16, 2024.

I'll be in Florida over Christmas. Curious if anyone knows if there's any men's D3 basketball tournaments down there by Clearwater. I'll be there before Christmas through probably December 30.

My Scranton Royals continue to host a kick off tournament every year , but play the first game at 530 eastern. There may be some logistical reason for that, but I am curious how many if any teams do this?  Why Play first?

My Scranton Royals continue to host a kick off tournament every year , but play the first game at 530 eastern. There may be some logistical reason for that, but I am curious how many if any teams do this?  Why Play first?

Some may think it's an advantage to play first in terms of getting an extra 2 or 3 hours. If their opponents have a Jewish player on their team, they need to play before it gets dark (or something like that).
