Seriously?

Why not??  Would anyone have picked Nebraska Wesleyan at this time last year??

I love it.  Emory would also be a choice.

You're really expecting them to be creative with the bracket - way to be optimistic!

He only has one different team than you. Though Platteville and Augustana would surely meet before the Final Four.

MIT is superior in the field in my estimation. Discipline, talent, leadership, but most importantly style difference & defensive focus.
Jomard is back and healthy. I was impressed in person by their ability to get good looks late in clock cycle. Very patient.

Hamilton over Williams slightly based upon graduation of Williams' ball handlers.

Augustana on the coin flip of who from Midwest will shoot lights out in tournament

Whitworth coin flip over Whitman

MIT's also bringing in a freshman big who did very well for Panathanaikos' U-18 squad the last couple years.  That could be very helpful in the tournament.

Greek Tragedy

Being that my wife is Greek, hence my handle, and my nouno's (godfather) favorite team is Panathanaikos (though in soccer), MIT may be my new 4th favorite team. My 7-year old, Filippos Georgios (Philip George) is really good at math, so we always joke about him going to MIT too.

I remembered that Platteville and Augie would have met in the final four last year but totally looked right pass that Whitman played in the UWP pod  :o

I'm picking the best 4 teams in the nation, regardless of location. Maybe it is a fault, but it I would rather predict how good the basketball teams are rather than predict the NCAA selection committee putting together a bracket.

1. NWU
2. Williams
3. Augustana
4. Whitman

I was thinking about going Hamilton AND Williams, but what are the chances they'll be split up?

95%

Seriously? They're only 2 1/2 hours away from each other. They may meet in the Elite 8, but I wouldn't think they'd be in entirely different brackets.
Well, 4 NESCAC teams last year were in 2 separate brackets. Williams and Middlebury in the top left quadrant while Wesleyan and Hamilton were in the bottom right. So last year Hamilton and Williams wouldn't have met until the final if they had made it that far.

Precisely; other evidence, albeit from the women's side, is Amherst/Bowdoin last year or Tufts the year before, meeting only in the final 4.

How easily people forget when Amherst and Williams met in the semifinals a few years ago ...

BTW - the four quads of brackets can be moved around and they don't affect mileage. That's because the semifinalists all go to the same place, right? So the east and west don't have to be on the same side of the bracket (say east and west). You can mix the four quads around and get all kinds of interesting semifinal match ups without affecting the tournament one bit.

I can't be the only one who is intrigued by doing a full bracket preseason prediction, right?

To be clear, leaving the bracket and matchup/milage decisions out of it, just choosing the teams.
