Junior guard Sarah Flanagan scored a game-high 13 points and senior forward Lisa Tracy added 10 points and eight rebounds to pace the university of Mary Washington women's basketball team to a 77-26 win over Gallaudet University on Saturday at Goolrick Gymnasium. The nineteenth-ranked Eagles improve to 11-2 overall, and 3-1 in Capital Athletic Conference action.
The Eagles limited Gallaudet to just nine first half points, including four field goals, and outscored the guests, 41-17, in the second half. On another note:
Where have all the "posters" from this board gone?   :o

Balder Eagle,

I guess it's a two team board lately. And by the way, very dominate performace Wednesday in Salisbury. Impressive.

even mwcsid's not posting here, even though he's put the half and final men's scores on that board during the men's game.  Come on Clint, there are some of us who like to know how the women are doing too  ;)

Gallaudet's writeup of yesterday's game against UMW says: "The Eagles sported a lineup that featured four starters between 6'0 and 6'3."

Maybe that's they way they looked, but only one starter is listed at 6 or over.  ;D

Every time I go to post the story after I put it on the web and send it out to the media and parents, you've already posted it!!! ;)

You're too fast!

The ladies had a great week, lots of balance and great team defense.

As for the men's half post... Sorry! The new president cornered me at halftime of the women's game, and it totally slipped my mind. I get the feeling you were there anyway. :-)

For those of us unable to attend we appreciate 'postings', any news on broadcasting games or maybe 'live stats' >?>?   :o

You do ok. Why don't other CAC school's sports info directors post too? Glad to hear you and the new president are buddies.   ;D

The coaches and administration are planning some exciting promotions for the rest of the year for both men and women, I think that'll help (with wins) in getting our students riled up for the stretch run.

Many schools do not have wireless access on-court, so it's difficult to juggle double checking with scorebooks, getting stats to the teams and media, running promotions, etc, and posting if they have to leave the venue in less than 15 minutes.

The CAC matches to watch today are Marymount at York and Catholic at Salisbury. I think York will win at home. Salisbury too. St. Marys should get its first CAC win tonight.

BTW,

Congrats to Keli Ward on her CAC Player of the Week award. She has been, along with Kristen Daly, fantastic this year.

It should be spirited game at the Grum tonight. The York students are finally back in session and the crowd should be good for both games.
