Ouch!
Grats to St. Mary's. Tough loss for the Eagles. Move on to the next one ladies!

bbald eagle

kudos to St. Mary's. The winner of Saturday's game at UMW against Marymount now gets undisputed first place in the CAC.

cac fan

Did any of you see that MW-St.M game?  What was St.M able to do that few others could do against MW?  Or was it that St.M had a great game and MW had a less than great game?

Either way, hats off to St.M!

Shouldn't win many games with 20 turnovers and numbers like these:

FG% 28.4%
3-Pt. FG%  12.5%
FT% 56.3%

UMW's loss definately sets the tone for a big game vs Marymount -  in Fredericksburg -  2:00 p.m. Saturday

No doubt the game at St. Mary's was a misstep for UMW. I wouldn't count them out. The game will be a big one for both teams and both will come out with their best games on. It will be one to see. Always a good game but the CAC regular season championship is, arguably, on the line.

"Around The Nation" says the player to watch is Kathleen Brown, an incredibly talented player. Lest we forget UMW senior Liz Hickey is just a handful of blocks away from setting a new Division III career record.

Six to tie, seven to break. Averaging 4.7/game. Season high- 9 vs. Salisbury on 1/26. Twice with 7.

Have I got it right, mwcsid or the "eagle twins", bald & balder?

bbald... this one's for you my friend!

The University of Mary Washington's home basketball doubleheader against Marymount University on Saturday will feature live statistics viewable over the Internet starting at 2:00 p.m. for the women's game and 4:00 p.m. for the men's.

Thanks mwcsid!  I know it has been a struggle to get that Livestats in place. BTW-nice job on the new programs this year and as always the media guides are fabulous.
It's going to be a great weekend!

Senior Day ceremonies precede the game as Kristen Daly and Gina Casadei will be honored for their contributions to the Spartan program.

Key game for the Spartans as they look to get back into a home court first round game after losing three straight.

Hmm... no comments on the crushing defeat UMW handed to MMT?

Great atmosphere for UMW's senior day.  Colorful fans and mascots, balloons and a full house!  The place was rockin!  The Eagles played a solid first half and Kaitie Clarkin put the "cherry on top" with another of her stunning half court shots. Frankly, I thought the roof might come off the place :o
MMU played a tough game but the Eagles weren't going to let their Seniors be denied a victory!
You guys need to listen to your Mamma, I said it would be a great weekend ;)

bbald eagle

Yep, UMW dominated from tip to final buzzer. UMW's locked the #1 seed in the CAC, maybe not mathmatically, but realisticaly. Very nice senior day for the UMW men and women.
