Let's hope Jeff & his side kick do not get the game and do their Finney favors (as they always do) need to keep their summer jobs I guess.

Guess we'll find out if Marymount's success is all due to their coach next year: http://www.cacsports.com/sports/wbkb/2009-10/releases/Finney_Retires

Heck of a career.

And not a hint of this during an interesting 20-min interview on Hoopsville thursday nite; available on the archived show @ 1:48 into the show.

Thanks rorurap. I didnt know that comment was directed at officials. The "Jeff and his sidekick" reference does sound like complete sarcasm. I didnt know people knew the refs names like that. I wonder what the summer job is they have to keep? Anyway these comments just sound like a typical fan complaining. On to the games. the regular season wraps up for Mary Wash tomorrow. That could be interesting game in that if St. Marys needs the game for a home game in playoffs. Im sure Mary Wash is ready for season to be over so they can get to the playoffs. I guess we will know soon enough who gets what seed.

Bill Finney's retirement will be a real loss for the CAC, for D3, and for women's basketball in the DC area.   :'(

ronk - he may not have seemed like he said anything... but in hindsight he said something I think I kidded him about the comment... and then we moved on.

Congrats to the coach on a very impressive career... that continues for a little while longer. He has represented Marymount and the CAC very well... and I have enjoyed chatting with him for a number of years now.

Wow. Just... wow.

Wow ... and Tara plans to play again next year, ending at age 27! Whew.

Thought John Chaney's Temple team was the only one that practiced at 6 am.

The automatic goes to MMT. Now UMW has to keep its fingers crossed for an at - large bid. Here's hoping.

Low and behold who do we get but Jeff & Lynn and Lynn up to his old Finney Favors :-*. Jeff and the other did a good job.
After the game Lynn was over with the MU crowd getting their thanks and kisses from the players.
Too bad because the game was great with a come back almost by UMW. MU started to celebrate too soon so Lynn had to step in and help. See you in the NCAA tournament (we hope) ;D

rorurap

Actually, anyone who expressed well wishes or who came near or walked through the MU celebration was thanked and kissed, including Jeff and the other who "did a good job".  You would have been thanked for well wishes too, if you had come over to express them. It was a great close game that either team could have won, and a testament to the players and coaches of both teams.

Maybe I've just missed it in the 500 plus games I've been to, but I've never seen an official whooping it up with ANYBODY.

Wouldn't that be inappropriate?

Congratulations to Marymount!  It was a great game.
