Had to laugh...Selection show....the host said when the CNU senior class were freshman......

you mean the one senior, who is injured?

At least he mentioned Captains Chaos!

At least they know the way to Scranton.   ;)

That was an awesome game!

Probability is that we'll get to do it again in the 2nd round.

As long as the final outcome is different, I'm good with that!  ;D

Widener is VERY good team.  matchup should be great game.  just hate the VERY long 8hr bus ride for CNU.  just a tad under 500 miles.

maybe host meant last year's senior class were freshmen when they lost by 40 to scranton in 2016?  maybe host should have instead referred to 1 point loss last year in sweet 16.

imo, i think this year's CNU team is better than last year.  higher regional ranking as well as d3hoops and WBCA rating.  winners of last 15 games with last loss against Tufts, hot at right time.  they are more balanced and play 10 players for 11+ mins (the 11th player was lone Senior who is injured).  first part of season (4-3 Win-Loss), lack of chemistry with all those Sophomores and Freshmen needed gelling.  youth is being served.

Could this be the year CNU gets over the Scranton hump?  We'll see...gotta beat Widener first!

POTUS will be in Scranton Thurs to make sure everything's in place for a Lady Royals advance to the sectional round; don't disappoint him!  ;)

from hoopsville, interesting so CNU placed in Scranton pod and not Marymount /Messiah pod because MU in CAC 2 years ago and they played Messiah this year.
i didn't know they took into account non-conference opponents they played that year in placing team in a pod.

Something is wrong Vt because Two years ago Scranton played Cabrini in a regular game and then played them in the first round of the tournament. Then in 2006 we played Baldwin Wallace in Vegas then played them in the Tournament so who ever made that statement tell them look at Scrantons schedule !

Pat Coleman

So two times, 13 years apart ... and why is this in the CAC board?

It happened that is why I brought it up!

13 years ago isn't relevant ... and Scranton isn't in the CAC => to Pat's point.

No but two years ago is Dave we played Cabrini in regular season then played them again in the tournament. So for Karin to say that was a lie. Because she has been on it for 5 years that is my point!

To say the reason CNU couldnt be in Messiahs bracket  is because they played each other is just totally false because Scranton played Cabrini then played them in the ncaa the first week of tournament play. One other thing I wish you pressed her on is why 3 MA teams in one pod?I understand Texas but Scranton is centrally located you could have many other teams come there way.I mean By Now Tufts and CNU probably Knows Scranton better then many Scrantonians just saying.Like I said many other teams could have came to Scranton not 3 MA teams!

didn't mean it is wrong, just interesting they took pains to try and bracket teams that have not played each other during regular season.

The rule hasn't been in place all that long ... she referenced that one or two years ago they had some of these things and have adjusted since. So, it hasn't been in place all that long. (Men it has been in place longer I think.) So, to look back two years and say "it's a lie" especially when she makes a specific reference to last year's CNU/Marymount game ... isn't fair.

I didn't push this because she went and tried to explain on her own how they tried to move teams around. I also understand the geography. I would love to see non-region matchups more often, but I also realize that the map (and fairness to bracket balance) doesn't always allow for perfect things.

The one time I have pushed this hard was in 2014. I thought the men absolutely botched it with three Mid-Atlantics at Virginia Wesleyan. I still think they screwed that up ... but at the same time, I also know there is only so far I can take things.

Thank you for conducting interview on us fans behalf to better understand WBB committee process.  I will say it was very unfortunate you did not have regional rankings AND she could only answer some questions from 2nd hand account due to her team's involvement
