If Catholic doesn't get a NCAA bid (which they most likely won't get). When and where will thier ECAC game be played?????
Go Cards!!!

HERE IS MY PREDICTION BEFORE THE BRACKETS ARE FORMED:

1- Mary Washington, being the number 1 seed in the Atlantic WILL host the Sectionals ( Sweet 16)
2- Pity the team Mary Washington will play in the first round ( it won't be pretty )
3- Marymount will win their first round game and draw a very difficult second round game
4- Mary Washington will be in the "Elite Eight" ( I am not going on the line for anything farther yet )
5- Marymount will play Southern Maine in the Sweet 16.....

OF COURSE THIS IS ALL OUT THE WINDOW IF THE NCAA COMMITTEE PUTS THE 2 CAC TEAMS IN THE SAME BRACKET WHERE THEY MEET IN THE SECOND ROUND

AS FOR CATHOLIC: You are on the right track, the Catholic-Marymount rivalry over the past 6 years was always exciting.......best of luck in your new conference....maybe we ( a CAC team ) will meet again in a future NCAA Tournament.

Congratulations to the Marymount Women and Coach Finney - you were well prepared, played hard and earned a big win.

UMW Eagles look forward to the NCAA Tournament it will be fun!

I wouldn't bet on #1. UMW has a VERY small gym and even with thoughts of adding some bleatchers, they won't get near 1000 for attendance. It is unfortunete, but they may only get a chance to host the first weekend. I would be shocked if they would be allowed to host the second weekend.
Marymount playing Southern Maine in the Sweet 16? First, better hope not. Second, don't think they will be in the same bracket. Marymount will probably get killed by the Polar Bears... but I don't even see them even possibly playing each other. I know Marymount played a very good game yesterday - especially on defense - but, without knowing the brackets yet, I would be surprised if they make it out of the 1st round.

when are the selections for the ECAC made and will CUA be playing close to their home?
CUA 2001 NCAA  DIII Basketball National Champions

Pat Coleman

Those selections are usually made on Monday. They could get a first-round home game. Not sure who filed to play in this tourney so not sure who would host.

Catholic's still got a year left in the CAC, so the party's not over yet...

UMW hosts the 1st Round against The College of New Jersey.
The other match up pits Muhlenberg vs. Wesleyan (Conn). Good luck Eagles.
I may not always be Right........But I'm never Wrong!

The past is prologue ... the new season begins Friday.  Good Luck to both CAC teams in the NCAA tournament.  Meet again at the end!

Either Catholic wasn't eligibile, didn't want to participate, or wasn't chosen, but whichever it was, CUA is not in the ECAC's.

One cannot argue Marymount's Bill Finney's wisdom   :D

Yes, big dog, you are right.   Apparently for whatever reason the ECAC put everything up BUT the South brackets earlier--I didn't know they didn't do everything at once.  So I just scanned the list of teams and didn't see Catholic.

But yes, they host a game, as they should be.
