We never have done this, but figured it might be good to have a thread surrounding the D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas. We are entering our NINTH season!

Here is more information on the teams, matchups, and more for this upcoming year: http://www.d3hoops.com/classic/2018-19/d3hoops-classic/pairings

Attendance at this tourney has been on my basket list for several years. Leave the wife at home, cheap flight to Vegas, lots of D3hoops, some blackjack, perhaps some late night entertainment at a fine "club".   What could be better. Now I just have to talk yjack, wipiff, TQ, Greg, FCGriz, and a couple of other midwestern regulars into coming along.  ;)

The games and such are well worth the attendance. We don't have that many games that aren't competitive. It is also fun to see so many teams from around the country in one place.

As for the other stuff... admittedly, we don't dabble much. We are usually exhausted. This schedule will allow us to get out for a meal, for sure. I don't even do that much gambling anymore.

Neither the gambling nor the casino stage extravaganzas interest me, but I certainly wouldn't mind going sometime to watch a lot of D3 basketball.

I'd love to take a trip out there at some point, but probably won't happen in the foreseeable future.

Thanks for the non-invite, hopefan! I didn't want to go with you anyway! LOL  ::) ??? ;D Just kidding. Nearly made it out there when Point played, but funds weren't available at the time. My mother-in-law lives two hours north of Vegas, so it's possible in the future. Speaking of foreseeable future, those said funds will be earmarked for Fort Wayne, IN for the next few years!

I think I may be included in that list.  I would book that trip today if not for the fact that I am planning to drive to the Quad Cities again on January 29.

Two hours north of Vegas? What in blazes is there two hours north of Vegas, aside from ghost towns, abandoned silver mines, and UFO hunters?

This is weird but if you are flying out of St. Louis, Fort Wayne is one of the cheapest destinations.  Only $10 more than Vegas.  I may have to join you in March.

I go to Vegas about once every 17 years -- 1980, 1998, 2015. See you there in 2032 if I'm still alive and able to travel.

WUPHF

Ah, yes, 2032 should be a good one as it will be the first D3Hoops.com Classic to be officiated entirely by Boston Dynamics robots.

The CASINO Stage extravaganzas are not the kind of stage shows I had in mind.... :o :o

And I want to know what distinguishes a club as being "fine." 🤔 😎 😏
