Actually, it only took us 2 weeks! I can't imagine getting an 8-team-12 round draft done in 5 days when the brackets are announced..

I just mean, if the deadline had been last Sunday, I'd still have Rogers. I still think Tufts is the best NESCAC team on paper, but I'm no longer convinced they'll get it together in the next three weeks.

Kevin Davet from WashU is injured. Unclear timeline.

If permissible, if 1) WashU makes the tournament and 2) he does not play in the Bears' first tournament game, I'd like to replace him with Christian Simmons of Oswego State.

If not permissible or if the conditions have to be changed please let me know.

Greek Tragedy

I suppose that seems fair. If we let him wait for Davet to miss the last 2 games of the regular season, he'll have an unfair advantage of waiting longer. Adds and drops deadline has passed, so he's not taking someone else's possible player. I don't recall having an injury issue in the past when it comes to the tournament.

Call me a hard ass but aren't injuries as much ofa gamble in drafting an early bird team as anything else? Im sure we'll do other drafts when we know more. I took a guy doing cancer treatments. You never know.

Greek Tragedy

There is a risk. Yes. Also, in all of our player leagues, we give the option to drop players due to injury. The Fantasy League committee has it's meeting tomorrow and we'll make a final discussion this week.

I think in these particular leagues when we normally do it right after the last tournament has ended, once it's set it's set. Doesn't matter if in the following 11 months a player gets injured, transfers, disappears, etc.

Yeah, there needs to be some delineation of rules between early bird and other tournaments.  I'm totally cool with dropping injured players before the tourney starts in other leagues - just feels like the Early Bird one should be locked.

Greek Tragedy

The committee just adjourned and the ruling is that the rosters will be locked. Injuries happen. I hope he plays. But, as previously mentioned, we usually do the Early Bird draft right after the previous tournament in March/April and we don't allow any changes 11 months later.

Ugh. My 4th, 5th and 9th are all out and no chance for Pool C bids. Hoping NCC can pull another upset in the CCIW Final.
