EARLY BIRD: Team - Draft

I'm the newbie here, but do these drafts usually go this fast and furious? Or do they slowdown a little as the rounds go along?

Early bird drafts are certainly slower than during the tournament when there's a deadline and everyone stays on things.

I was purposely making a concerted effort NOT to annoy everyone by sending them texts and emails informing them that it's their turn. Yes, we don't have a deadline, so it's naturally going to be slower. Do I want it to take a month to draft, no. But I don't think I need to hound people if they don't post within an hour.

BTW, we're still on our 2nd pick in the Player League! LOL. Express has been informed it's his turn.

We definitely need patience in the off-season. Basically, I broke it down into 4 time zones: Morning, afternoon, evening, night. If someone posts in the morning, I'll wait until the afternoon to inform the next person, so they have time to pick and not feel rushed. If someone posts at night, I'll wait until morning to inform them if they haven't already posted. It's not rushed and I can only assume some posters might get annoyed if I'm texting/emailing them within minutes of the pick before them. If this isn't the case and no one cares, then I will happily annoy you.

We can always get the Mega Draft going again this year to pass the time. Who wouldn't want to spend their time figuring out the sleeper they should take in the 168th round

The problem for you and I is that a lot of good teams will go off before the board before we get another bite of the apple. Is trading of picks allowed?

Yes, actually. It's happened in the past. It has to be equal picks though. 1 for 1, 2 for 2, etc. It can't be 3 for 1. We all have to end up with 16 teams.
