The CCC had one of those, as well.  I usually assume it was a voter who thought their own team was the best and didn't want to vote for a rival at the top.  I never know which leagues allow you to vote for your own team.  Most don't. Or maybe IIT's recruiting class was excellent and only their own voters know about it?

Thing is, though, two voters picked the Scarlet Hawks to win the league, not just one.

Yeah, but it's double votes.  They're letting maybe SIDs or ADs vote in this one.  There's 26 votes for 13 schools.

That doesn't mean that they're both going to be company men when it comes to voting in a preseason poll. My experiences with coaches, ADs, and SIDs is that they tend to approach these kinds of matters with fairly different mindsets.

Maybe my logic is wrong, but I would think oftentimes the coach of a consensus #1 would prefer to pick another school so that his team doesn't get too cocky before they've even played a game (not speaking of the CCC here).

Greek Tragedy

I thought some conferences prevent you from voting for your own team.
