With the dawn of the calendar year, Early Decision I notifications in the rearview mirror, and offseason postpartum doldrums setting in, it seems like the right time to open a thread about something shiny and new: 2020 D3 recruits! The good folks at D3soccer.com have posted their annual compilations of men's and women's recruits (links below). The lists are relatively short now, but they'll keep growing in the months ahead as coaches, players, parents, administrators, and others -- including y'all -- add entries. Looking forward to the discussion about recruiting trends, surprises, and more.

See the fine print at the pages above for instructions about how to submit info and the usual words of caution about D3's non-binding "commitments."

Although he has passed the torch to D3soccer.com, these recruit lists remind us to salute OldNed, who used to compile long lists of recruits and share them on this board. That was priceless work you did, OldNed. Thanks, brother. Shout out to Jim at D3soccer.com for his hard work on the 2020 lists.

Thanks for the kind words, Viking - much appreciated.  I'm happy to pass the torch to D3Soccer.com - frankly, they do a better job than I ever did.

I've been talking to D3 coaches that I know who said they're seeing an uptick in the number of videos they're receiving.  Seems kids are using some of their quarantine time to put some highlights together and reaching out to more coaches than usual.

It was also suggested that perhaps some of the spring/summer recruiting tournaments may move to fall, which would lead to some interesting decisions for what I assume are the majority of D3 recruits who play HS in the fall.

Is there a place where you can track soccer transfers? I imagine that is only at the D1 level, but something I am curious about.

There is no site I'm aware of that tracks D3 soccer transfers.  I think the best bet is to go into the 2020 Men's Recruiting Classes document and search for the word "transfer".  I'm seeing 15 transfers when I do that.
