Little East Conference Race:  Plymouth State has clinched the #1 seed. ECSU and WCSU are in good shape to get in. Rhode Island College holds the tie-breaker over Castleton, having won the head-to-head match-up. The other 4 squads are in a real dogfight for seeding.

GNAC Conference Race Update:  Rivier, J&W RI, Simmons, Regis and Elms have clinched playoff spots.  Regis must win its' last match against Elms and 2 losses from Simmons in order to pass Simmons (Regis would lose out on head to head). Race for spots 6-8 is still open.

NESCAC:  Bowdoin, Wesleyan-CT, Tufts, Williams, Amherst and Middlebury have clinched conference playoff spots. One more loss each from Bates, Colby, and Hamilton, and things get more interesting in the battle for the last 3 spots

North Atlantic:  East-- Maine Maritime, NVU-Johnson, Husson and Maine-Presque Isle are in.
                       West--SUNY-Delhi, SUNY-Cobleskill, SUNY-Poly and Cazenovia are in.

Little East Conference:  Plymouth St., WCSU, ECSU, Keene State, UMass-Dartmouth and UMass-Boston are in--2 thru 6 tie-breaker scenarios as follows:

WCSU:  vs. So. Maine
ECSU:  vs. UMass-Dartmouth
Keene State:  vs. Rhode Island College

All NESCAC and Little East this week It'll be interesting for the LEC if Plymouth State gets upset in the conference tournament (there is a real dogfight from 2nd down in that conference at the moment.)

Update:

GNAC:  Rivier, J&W-RI, Simmons, Regis, Elms, Norwich, Lasell and St. Joseph's Maine are in the GNAC Tournament.

Little East Conference:  Plymouth State took the top spot going away: WCSU, ECSU, Keene State, UMass-Boston and UMass-Dartmouth are in a real dogfight for tournament seeding position.

NESCAC: Tufts, Bowdoin, Amherst, Williams, Middlebury and Wesleyan-CT are in. 2 spots are open yet.
            Update:  CT College and Hamilton got the last 2 tournament spots.

Cobleskill:  Larson 7 service aces, 20 digs
          Outhit the Broncos .129 to .04l6 to pull off an upset.

It's a Cobleskill/Maine Maritime NAC Final next Saturday.

Teams: Simmons and Rivier are 2nd and 5th in the nation in Aces/Set (3.40 and 3.25 respectively); Norwich leads GNAC in Assists/Set (10.84) and Hitting Pct. (.223); Regis is 3rd in the nation in Opp. Hitting Pct. (.080); Simmons, Rivier and Regis are 2-4 in the nation in Service Aces (296, 289 and 288 respectively); Colby-Sawyer led the conference in both Team Attack-related Stats (34.83 attacks/set and 3,657 Total Attacks.

Players:  4 GNAC players are in the top 17 nationally in Aces/Set; Regis' Tyler Wax is 8th (0.86), Simmons' Kat Simeonidis 9th (0.85), Elms' Jaylianne Ramos 14th (.079) and Rivier's Avery Pollard 17th (.074).  The first 2 players also were 9th and 16th nationally in Service Aces (68 and 63); St.Joseph-ME Sierra Burns led the GNAC with 405 Digs and Rivier's Lilly Sills led in Hitting Pct. (.337).

Little East Conference:

Teams:  WCSU and UMass-Boston ranked 7th and 10th nationally in Aces/Set (3.11 and 3.05, respectively:) and WCSU ranked 9th in Service Aces (283); Plymouth State led the LEC in Hitting Pct. (.229) and tied for the top with WCSU in Opp Hitting Pct. (.121)  Keene State led in Digs (1,508).

Players:  WCSU's Olivia Monteleone led the LEC in Aces/Set (0.67) and Service Aces (61); Plymouth State's Marissa Plaza led in Digs (190) and WCSU's Abbi Debis led in Hitting Pct. (.382)
