Again why wait until November to do this? We have known the dates for 2 years. Denial I hope was expected by the USC so what was the actual point of this exercise?

Obviously pure conjecture, but... Perhaps they put this opening salvo out during a time when they know the most attention is focused on their tournament. They know this is going to be a "process" with the NCAA and they are firing this shot now while ADs and parents and other stakeholders (weirdos like us) are paying the most attention.

This strikes me as a great marketing opportunity. Somebody should advertise t-shirts on Pat's d3board.com advertising banner that read, WEIRDOS LIKE US. Posters would snap 'em up like hotcakes.

The apparel company could then sell warmup shirts to various D3 sports teams that read, WEIRDOS LIKE US.
