FB: Landmark Conference

Starting this board. Presuming the Landmark will be placed in Region 2 when play starts in 2023, but we can move this if need be.

We broke this news yesterday. Conference followed with official announcement today.

I'd be curious how the breakdown was for adding football, I imagine it broke down 4/4 between the current members. 4 with current football programs, and 4 without.

I doubt that information is publicly available.

It was unanimous. There isn't much of an incentive for the non-football schools to vote against the conference sponsoring a sport when they have the numbers to do so.

Very exciting for the ODAC. Much better than playing Apprentice in my opinion. Be interesting to see where they go for neutral sites.

   This sounds like a great idea and should be fun for the teams and fans involved. I am curious, though, why they are doing hosted games in '23 and '25 but neutral sites in '24 and '26. Maybe a test to see which format works better?

Then it would make more sense if 23 and 24 were on campus and 25 and 26 off. Not 23 on, 24 off, 25 on, 26 off. I'm not saying this isn't possible, it's just weird how they did it.

I've been looking for you on the MAC board as that destruction of Widener really opened up my eyes. I was stunned by the loss to Lebanon Valley though. It does look like a year that they can pick off a very young (15 new starters) Del Val team. We'll see soon. Hope all is well.
