Is D3soccer.com dead?

I realize that D3Soccer.com is maintained by volunteers and there is even a plea for volunteers currently on the front page of the website. There is no doubt that those types of sites take some work and not many have the time or desire to do it. That said, is the site still viable? Normally by now, there have been listings of coaching changes, incoming classes, etc. Even the post-season coverage last fall seemed a bit less than normal. I would hate to see the website go away. It has been a good source of information over the years.

You'd probably be better off posting thing in the men's soccer folder which sees considerably more activity than here.

But regarding the site - it's been run as a labor of love by Christian for years now.  There's no money in it (it's not under the d3sports umbrella, which while it doesn't have a lot of money has some income from ads and Patreon, and a little beats none), very few people interact on the boards, and as someone who maintained a someone analogous (non-sports) resource at some point the amount of effort required to keep things going just isn't worth it any more.  There may be life/work issues that we're not aware of, not to mention the pandemic and its numerous and varied impacts.

I agree that the site has been a good source of information. I think we all can agree that there has been a reduction in the board interactions since 2021. The question is how best to promote the board to parents of incoming soccer players. It would be a pity if the site were to go away.

The *board* is probably safe as it's part of the greater d3boards.com hierarchy.  That's the one thing that carries over from the d3sports days.  The d3soccer.com site, which may or may not be the primary entry point these days, makes the board somewhat easier to find.  But this kind of interaction has fallen out of favor over the past decade (at least) in favor of things like Discord or Reddit, or probably something else I'm not up to speed on.

But yes, it would be wonderful if we could get more parents (and people like me who are alumni/fans) to find and participate.

The incoming class/recruit feature was really special and I enjoyed it!
